AMEXI Handmade Mens Solid Wood Watch Made with Natural Black Sandalwood

This was a bit of an impulse buy during a lightning deal, and I wasn't quite sure whether I'd come to regret my purchase, but in fact, I'm really impressed by this watch! It has been a real head-turner among my friends and colleagues (who are engineers and love a raw-material handmade product!) who are often asking where I got it and whether it really is made from wood (yes, it is!)Features: - no claims to be water resistant, but in practice it has survived fine in the rain and while washing hands etc. - Glow in the dark minute/hour hands, makes this much easier to see at night - Date function - Good quality stainless steel closure mechanismLink removal:Various reviews have commented on how hard it is to remove the links. I did indeed struggle a little with this. I bent the provided link-removal pin whilst trying to drop my pins out, but with a little care and attention, I bent it back and managed to use it with some light taps from a hammer to remove links as necessary.Build quality and wear:The watch is very lightweight and after a few months of use, i'm starting to wear through the varnish on the bracelet where it rests on a table under my wrist. Nothing major and its not really visible, just starting to loose its shine.I have also had a worrying moment where one of the non-removable links separated (while I was giving a round of applause!) and the whole watch dropped off my wrist. Luckly I found the two link sections and the two pins and managed to re-assemble it there and then, but some care should probably be taken with this watch. It's not as sturdy as you might hope. That's why it gets 4 stars from me!

It's a good, stylish watch, it even tells the time. Be VERY careful when removing links to shorten the strap, some of the rods you need to push out are impossible to remove without shattering the wood. If you feel like you need a hammer, or are exerting all of your strength, leave that link and move on to another. As the instructions say "3. Remove the watch strap must gently, cause the wood is easy to burst if hit too force."Also, the tool they give you to remove the links is weaker than kitchen foil.

First , one never arrived , ordered new one , arrived O K , unable to change watchstrap size , impossible , instructions alright , apart from all spelling & grammar mistakes , otherwise , looked good if it fitted your wrist . 🙁

A very lightweight different watch. The instructions are terrible, but the illustrations help to work out how to remove the links. There was no issue with the battery as the plastic ( to stop the battery running) was in place.

This was an amazing buy. Much more comfortable and sturdy than expected. Great buy

Lovely looking watch. Instructions need and English person to correct all the grammar mistakes. Main problem is that NONE of the links will come out so my strap is still slightly too long. The tool they provided bent and is now unusable. Took the watch to Timpsons who charge £5 but they refused to remove the pins in case they damaged the strap.
