We source our premium leather from Wickett & Craig, an American tannery that's been in business since 1867. Because we use only the highest quality full grain leather, it is rich in character and the surface is natural. This means you may see naturally occurring small scars, creases, and striations. These minor markings are not flaws, they are features and a hallmark of premium leather. No two hides are identical. So you may notice some color variation throughout the product. You can expect the leather to be slightly stiff right out of the box but it will soften and quickly break-in. Through routine use, the leather will also develop scratches and a rich patina.
