I bought these to uplight trees for Xmas. They worked well for that and are well built for outdoor use. The added functionality and multiple color selection have me thinking of other ways to use them throughout the year. A bit expensive but worth it.

Might be too early to review. But we tested them tonight and they work great. We have a motion sensor patio light WITHOUT a switch so we needed to find a way around that, since it lights up our stone patio. Luckily, these lights override the motion sensor when you press OFF on the remote, and it turns back on when you press ON. The lights are an added bonus, since we are hispanic and have outdoor dance parties. Only complaint is they are a tad bit dimmer than the previous lights from home depot, but it's really not that noticable. 5 stars for now!

Easy to use and program the colors

I usually don't write reviews but wanted to warn that the are extremely cheaply made. Bought 4 for outdoor use ans torqued the threaded socket off of two of them. They are great to have but too easy to break under normal usage.

This bulb out of the box is a very bright white light that with my other flood light really shows my backyard while my dog is out. The thing this has over other bulbs is the color choices. You can change this from white to red green blue yellow purple and a few others if you feel. Ther is also a strobe like party function that rotates between red green and blue. Another nice option is that you can change it from super bright white to a warm white that is the more typical golden light that older flood lights give off. I switch to this often when I know the neighbors are home so as not to spotlight them too much.There is a timer setting that I likely won't use as this is in use with 3 other bulbs on a switch, so this would time out but the others would still be on.There is no set up or internet access needed you just screw in and use the provided remote for the settings. When I first turned on my switch the super white was what came on.Possible negatives1. The remote works if you are facing straight on to the light but is a little picky from inside through my window. As it's winter and this is an outdoor flood light, getting in front of this to adjust the setting can prove challenging.2. It only works with the remote. There is no app no hookup to internet or phone, which can be a positive for some (like me who hates having to download a ton of apps). However should you misplace the remote then all of the options you have will cease to be available. This will then just be a regular flood light. Testing this scenario, I changed the light to blue and turned it off/on and the light was still blue. I would not want to lose the remote and then be stuck with a red green or blue light I can't change. Perhaps unscrewing for a bit and then reinstalling this could reset it back to the bright light should the remote get misplace but I'll have to test that when the weather gets warmer.I think it's a little pricey for one flood light, especially for my set up, but it still works for me and keeps the side of my house with the closer neighbor able to be darkened so as not to disturb them too much. I see a few summer dance parties in my future with my two toddlers as well this summer. They thought the strobe feature was neat

This flood light fits nicely in my outdoor fixture. It's the same size and shape as any other spotlight bulb. It is packaged securely. Even the threaded part of the bulb was protected (see picture's). So far it has been through several storms and has not had any problems with water but the fixture it is in is on the side of the house not out in the lawn so it doesn't get very wet. This light comes with a remote control that will turn it on or off. My light fixture has a dusk to dawn sensor so I used the remote to turn the bulb on and left it that way. Now the light comes on at dusk and stays on all night. The remote can also be used to set the number of hours the light stays on (4, 8, or 12 - which I didn't need) as well as set the brightness, the color, the whiteness, and the color transition type and speed. This bulb makes a great landscaping light illuminating your trees, bushes, sculptures and other decorative landscape items. It will also make a great Christmas light as it can be set to change and transition between colors at varying speeds. In addition it make a great security light because it can be set to a bright white light all while saving power. Because of the metal shielding of my fixture the remote control has to be pretty close to work. Overall a great light for the price. If it lasts the 20000 hours it say it will then it will be well worth the cost.
