I had such high hopes for this off grid inverter - I've been through one other brand with no built in MPPT inverter - but took a chance on this one after review of the features. I have one set of panels that produce 2800W max at 90 volts, and my typical use is that I remove my power from the grid - and switch to solar with a 48 VDC LifePo bank of 8 total batteries in series-parallel config. I set up the inverter, mounted it, wired it - and turned it on for just PV input - no AC charge on or output on - After a few days of watching it keep the battery bank topped off (partly due to being out of town for a few days) i turned it on to back-feed my panel. Unit came up to power nicely - a little flicker of the lights when things were powering up - but nothing unusual I could discern....we had partly sunny skies - and my PV array was pulling in about 13-15 amps. We have no electrical appliances other than a microwave and coffee pot - which were not in use at all, in fact I kept the microwave breaker off. Unit purred like a kitten for almost 6 hours with about 35-40% load. THEN all of a sudden - we lost power. The unit directly shorted out and the battery management system (BMS) shut down - due to the short. Nothing else happened - the unit flat-out failed. Well, I am sending it back ASAP - and am considering getting another brand if I can fid one with similar or same features....DISAPPOINTED TO SAY THE LEAST!

The sungoldpower inverter I purchased it works perfect and the customer service. I have a few question for them and they answer all my questions I highly recommend
