Samsung SDH-B74041 1TB 8Ch 4 cam 1080p HD All In One CCTV Kit

I purchased two of these products, one for my business and the second for my home. Thinking Samsung generally have good products I went ahead and purchased this and read a couple reviews which gave this item a relatively positive overview.I have both of them connected to a monitor and the quality is good and picture seemed good. however due to delays in opening my business i was unable to test the remote viewing features and once i had i wished that i had tested them sooner since the return deadline has now passed and i'm stuck with these lemons. the video quality is awful and now two cameras show a picture that is blurred and very low resolution.i have a couple of yale 720p ip cameras and they blow these cameras away in terms of usability quality and reliability.the app samsung provide is borderline incompetent and poor in its design. The box will crash so you will lose remote viewing functions and when they are available you will find it difficult to make out anyones face. I have decided to write these two boxes off and buy something else because they do not serve any purpose. wasted £700 on two boxes and why, because i trusted a large branded product would deliver results.

Hey guys seen since it's a 8 channel with 4 cameras , does this mean 8 cameras can be connected to it ? I'm thinking if I do buy it il buy an extra camera . 5 altogether

Unlike the previous reviewer (asim) I've had a very positive experience with this DVR. I've had the 4 camera system up and running now for just over 2 months with no failures or reboots. It has been 100% reliable. The WiseView app for iOS was updated recently and that did break some useful features, however it is usable.I don't understand the other reviewers comments on video quality, as it is superb. Maybe the other reviewer isn't selecting the 'Mainstream' view and is looking at the 'Substream' view instead, which is of lower quality? The setup was relatively straightforward, although I do work in IT and therefore I'm comfortable with this sort of thing. I didn't buy of Amazon as I found it cheaper elsewhere at the time. All-in-all an excellent CCTV system, which I've had no issues with at all. I would buy again.
