Awesome features! (No spoilers)
Now let's not get ahead of ourselves and start discussing weather or not this is a good movie. Remember that there are some people tha love it (me) and some people who hate it (everyone else). But for this review I wan't to focus on the quality of the release. And in that case it's fricken amazing! Well, for a japanese movie anyway.First off, while this has little to do with the movie itself, this release comes with a tiny little booklet with awesome artwork and details from the movie! If you're a huge Madoka fan like me you'll definetly appreciate it! Other than that the box art by Ume Aoki (who designed the characters) is just beautiful and nice to look at.Once you pop in the BD the first thing you'll notice is how good the animation looks in 1080p and how clear everything looks. Not only this but the movie also comes with some awesome extras. The opening and ending sequence are avalible without credits overlapping them so you can enjoy the animation and the wonderful music, and there's even a little crossover skit with the Monogatari series. Granted, I haven't watched it yet as I haven't seen the Monogatari series, but I tought they'd leave it out of the english release so it's welcome anyway. the only dissapointment I have is that it features neither translated opening/ending credits nor english lyrics for the songs. But seeing as you can find both on the internet it's something I can live without. Now, weather or not you'll like the movie depends on if you can stand the ending of the second movie being ruined for you (Though apparently it takes place in a different universe from the TV-series son don't worry.)

Quite possibly the trippiest film I've ever seen
If you thought the series could get really trippy and weird at times, just wait until you watch Rebellion! This film is honestly a work of art. Even though I still feel indifferent about the last 15 minutes of the film and the way it concludes (I feel like rewatching the film will give me a more solidified opinion on it), it is a feast for the eyes visually and it is one heck of an experience. Also, the fight scene in the middle of the film is breath-taking (it's easily one of the best Anime fights I've ever laid eyes on). It can get very confusing, so a couple of re-watches and reading explanations online will help greatly, but as an experience, it's an amazing follow-up to the series.

Stunning
The final conclusion to the Madoka series/first two films, and what a stunning one it is. The animations and visuals are simply amazing, gorgeous cityscapes, fantastical backgrounds and buckets of colour, with a spectacular fight in the middle to take your breath away. The Python-esque sequences are still here, still creepy and still very cool.Obviously plot won't mean much if you haven't seen the series/first two films, and while perhaps a bit confusing for some it's fittingly complex and dark. Homuras plight is certainly an interesting one.

All's well here
A personal favourite. Have seen previously on CR but wanted a copy for myself. Delivery was fast, timely, everything is in perfect condition. Doesn't come with the soundtrack but I was aware of that. That's limited exclusive

at least on first watch - but just to sit back and enjoy the madness and there is more than enough to ...
Taken as either Part 3 of the movie trilogy, or as a direct sequel to the original anime series, this is by far the most attractive in terms of animation, with so much happening it will take numerous watches to focus on all the action. Which is just as well, as the storyline is barely comprehensible, at least on first watch - but just to sit back and enjoy the madness and there is more than enough to enjoy. Ultimately, this sequence seems to be heavily concerned with wish-fulfilment, and so here we get to see the team of magical girls united and fighting together in a way we never really got before...although as is inevitable with this series, anything that seems too good to be true, usually is, and bad times are just around the corner. At the end of the latest round of universe/timeline resets, the ending of this segment actually feels less of a conclusion than before, but apparently another film is in the works, so there is still room here to develop. An unnecessary sequel in storytelling perhaps - but in providing more Madoka, and even more brain-bustlingly over the top madness in the process - the storyline of Homora's unwillingness to let go of her obsession with Madoka makes a nice meta comment on fans who similarly can't leg of the series, and just want more. And if future segments can be as bonkers as this, I'll happily watch them all!

A stunning yet misunderstood film
Hamuras actions are true to her character, it's all to protect Madoka

Great UK release
This is a great DvD version of Rebellion that pairs nicely with the UK release of the main series. It comes with the full movie in both English and Japanese and even has a material booklet with cool art and extra info on the familiars. A great film with a great Blu-ray. If you live in Europe or own a region free Dvd player then I highly recommend getting this.
