It's A Mechaquartz
The media could not be loaded. Pretty nice watch for the price! The star of the show here is the Seiko VH31 movement, which has a sweeping second hand that moves at 4 ticks/second. This gives the illusion of a mechanical watch while keeping the accuracy of a quartz. It's not as smooth as a mechanical, but it's far superior to a traditional quartz in my opinion. It's kind of the best of both worlds. So far this watch is running spot on with zero deviation. The dial and boxed saphire glass are lovely. The AR coating sometimes gives the dial a slightly blue appearance in certain light, but disappears in others. I thought I'd hate this but it's kind of cool. The watch wears and feels like a mechanical. It has a nice heft, that most quartz watches lack. It feels solid on the wrist, and fits comfortably with five micro adjusts for the perfect sizing. I wish the lug width was slightly shorter at 44mm but it's pretty good. The watch wears slightly larger than the advertised 36mm, which is actually 37mm. Larger wrists might need extra links. The finishing is good enough for a field/explorer style watch. The bracelet is decent for the money. The 19mm sizing is in line with the Rolex it's homaging, and you get 100m water resistance with a screw down crown. The lume is passable, though it could have been better with a few more layers of paint. I'd love to see a version 2 with applied indecise, better lume, and a true 36mm case with a shorter lug length, but as it stands I really like the look and feel of this budget quartz. Overall, this is the nicest quartz I could find out there for the price. I've always been annoyed by the 1 tick/second of quartz watches and how the seconds hand never lines up correctlywith the markers. This watch has all the features you could want or need in an everyday watch. You can get this watch a bit cheaper direct from the Addiesdive web site, but you'll have to wait a bit longer for shipping and deal with returning the watch overseas if you don't like it. This one shipped directly from Amazon and got here in two days. I even still got a slight discount, so not a bad deal in my honest opinion. Hopefully more companies will start using the VH31 movement in their watches.

Great Value!
This watch is fantastic, although I wish it were the more modern dial rather than the vintage Explorer 1015 style. And I'm not sure why people like blue AR coating so much. I'd prefer clear AR, but it's not really that noticeable. The 19mm lug width is limiting for strap options, and I’d have preferred 20mm. That said, the VH31 quartz movement is a highlight: lightweight, slim, and the sweep second hand gives it an automatic look. Overall, a great watch with incredible value for the price!

A great deal on 1016 vibes
This little timekeeper is a real jewel. The VH 31 movement allows for a sweeping second hand in a quartz watch that is rugged and keeps phenomenal time. Happy to have found this little timepiece.

Really nice inexpensive Explorer homage with unique VH31 movement.
Very nice looking Explorer homage watch for very little money. The VH31 quartz movement is very cool, ticks 4 times per second instead of once, as normal quartz movements do, so it looks like a mechanical watch.Nicely finished on the parts you can see on the wrist, BUT the engraving on the back is rough like coarse sandpaper and there are sharp edges here and there on the inside of the bracelet. This is annoying, but wasn't a big problem for me; I just took a fine flat file to the back and wet-or-dry sandpaper to the underside of the bracelet and now it's smooth and fine. Of course you wouldn't do that to a $500 watch, but then you wouldn't need to.Be aware that the bracelet was exactly big enough for my 7 and 1/2 inch wrist; there are no extra links. If your wrist is bigger, you'll need to get extra links from Addiesdive, or replace the bracelet with a strap.Overall a really fun watch for the money; the VH31 movement is the big selling point.

Perfect watch!
So excellent in every way. Size, looks, lume, accuracy. I would have paid more for it, but glad I didn't have to. Thank you Amazon! Would take this over a used, overpriced 1016 any day. I did replace the clasp for something better on Amazon. It's the 16mm that tapers down from 19mm at the lugs.

Luminescense fades quickly otherwise seems good quality.
basic needs of this watch: adjust time, fit, rewind.crown was stuck; couldn't adjust time.fit: i was able to take the pins out with the provided pin driver.quality: looks above average for a Chinese mfg and branded. lume is bright but not lasting more than 1 min.... seriously.

One of the better Chinese watches
Pro: No quality control issues. The clasp closes properly. Good AR coating. Screwed crown. Accurate movement. No ghost date. Female end links. Milled clasp. Great boxed dome sapphire crystal. Screw down caseback. 5 micro adjusts. Solid links. Fully 316L Stainless Steel. 100M water resistant.Cons: decent lume but could use more layers, pin & collars instead of screws. 19mm lug width.(*case diameter is 37mm*)

Nice little watch
The media could not be loaded. It's not perfect. Sharp edges on bracelet. But very legible dial, accurate time keeping VH31. I have quite a few of this movement in my collection. I like it. Accuracy and convenience of quartz with sweeping seconds hand like mechanical. Lume is alright. I could have got this cheaper on Ali Express, but it's actually free for me as a gift from my job. No complaints.
