montgomery short duffle coat
Montgomery started making duffle coats in England for the British navy in the 1890's and they are still made here.I bought the short version of the Montgomery Duffle coat to use for both winter cycling and as a smart but informal winter coat. The short version is slimmer fitting than the mid and long version being able to wear a shirt and jumper underneath but too slim to wear over a jacket, so go with mid/long length for a looser fit . It is very good quality, well made , with a soft feel and nice buffalo horn toggles, could maybe do with a bigger inside pocket.The charcoal is darker than it looks in the picture and is near black, with grey check. The hood lies very flat when not in use and is quite roomy when in use . A splendid product and nice to be able to support British manufacturing.
