Not sure why people are saying that this is difficult to install LOL. The tape is double sided adhesive, but when you unroll it, only one side has adhesive. The other side is lined with the a clear tape. The easiest way to install it so place the tape inside the door....then remove the clear tape to expose the other side of the adhesive. Then install the liner edge guard on top. Easy peasy!

Although the product is advertised as clear, it does have a blueish tint to it, but for a blue car, it was not an issue. However, the real issue is the adhesive strip that comes in the package. The online instructions imply it is already installed and you need to just peel off the cover prior to installation. Except, you need to install the adhesive yourself before you can install on it on the vehicle. It's not an easy task. I wanted to return it, but the only place they would except the return was whole foods. Not a convenient location, travel time and gas not worth the trip considering the cost of the product. I don't recommend this product at all!

The process for applying the edge guards is difficult to apply properly. Applying the adhesive to the door is simple but it is very difficult to apply the door guard without damaging the adhesive and making it look bad. Tried it twice and never got the guard to adhear well without gumming under the guard.

With two cars in the garage there is not a lot of room to get in and out of the vehicles. Preventing chips in the paint or dents in the doors we needed to provide protection on the driver door of the vehicle on the right side of the garage. I put an 8" long piece of the "door edge guard" along the edge of the driver door where it could come in contact the other vehicle. It works fine and looks good to... not like the plastic cover people used to put on their sofa. Using the tape on the inside of the door edge guard is a little tricky, not so easy to install... but well worth the effort. It works for us. We like it.

This is the second type of door edge guard that I order and this one is superior by far. The quality is nice, resistant and easy to install. It's great to avoid nicks and dents to the edge of the door. I highly recommend.

Should have taken a picture before I took it off my new car door, but the tape part of it once attached to the plastic part will like smear and makes the plastic look really bad. The plastic also will not stay without the adhesive so it is a lose lose situation.
