testo 922 - 2 Channel Differential Thermometer

My last one lasted 15 years before it resigned. Testo kit is good but always over priced, so when I seen this at this price I snapped it up

I found this at half price due to a shabby box, although the instrument itself is new. I don’t think I would have been happy to pay full price. The unit is very light and has a cheap feel to it compared to my Comark unit that it has replaced. Also there is no protective housing. However, measurements seem accurate. No probes supplied so that’s an extra expense if you don’t already have them. My main gripe is the very poor instruction manual. I spent ages trying to find out why it wouldn’t initially do 2 simultaneous readings until I realised you need to switch it off before installing the second probe, otherwise it won’t detect it. That aside there is very little temperature differential between the two probes which is an encouraging sign. Time will tell as to it’s long term suitability for my a/c business

Wie von Testo gewohnt beste Qualität zum fairen Preis. Die Temperaturen lassen sich schnell messen und durch das pfrüfprotokoll auch für Gutachten verwenden. Ohne das man das Thermometer an Fechten kann.Außerdem ist es möglich so viele Adapter für das Gerät zu benutzen es ist einfach toll.

I work exclusively on Climate Control systems in construction equipment such as bulldozers & cranes. I purchased this thermometer recently & have been using it daily for about 2 weeks to help save me countless trips climbing up & down machines to check vent temperatures when testing system operation. I purchased the wireless thermometer probe to use with this unit which would ideally allow me to stand on the ground near my gages & read vent temps while simultaneously monitoring other system conditions. The unit itself is a nice size with an easily readable display & simple operation with few buttons. It does however feel very cheaply made. It feels very much like hollow plastic, not a solid tool. On some machines I work on, I have good luck with the range of the sensor, as in 20 or so feet through steel structure & glass from the wireless temperature probe that is inserted into the dash vent to the display unit which I have on the ground. On other machines with similar construction I have had very poor range, as in no signal from the other side of a cab window with the wireless probe and handheld display unit literally 18" apart. I have recently purchased an Android tablet for use with the Testo Smartprobe Bluetooth connectable sensors in the hopes this will have a more reliable range than the Testo 0560 9221 (and at a cheaper cost with fewer batteries too). When the unit has a good signal it works as advertised, but I am not satisfied with the consistency of the wireless connection in my application so I probably would not recommend this unit, nor would I purchase it again.
