Constantine the Great - Imperial Roman Empire Bronze Coin with Certificate of Authenticity

My coin arrived in very good condition considering its extreme age. There is visible wear, and the face on the "heads" side is virtually unrecognizable but the "tails" side is in good condition and even the the "heads" side still looks like a human head. I know other customers have complained that their coins weren't in good condition so I suppose it's a bit of a coin-toss (no pun intended) as to whether or not you get one in good condition. Either way, $30 is very cheap for an ancient roman artifact so I don't think it's fair to expect something that is museum-quality.I can't vouch for the authenticity of my coin since I am not a historian, but I do believe mine is authentic. The face that the coins people are receiving all have different levels of wear and that some are in much better condition than others probably establishes their authenticity since you would not expect every coin this old to be identical anymore.The coin comes in a plastic envelope with cardboard backing, a certificate of authenticity, and a brief explanation of the history of Constantine the Great, who is depicted on the coin. The coin itself is a little smaller than a dime.

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality although the picture is a little misleading. After doing some research i identified my coin as a Constantius II coin and not Constantine the Great. Still worth the money IMO.

This coin was in unbelievably good condition, better than some coins that are less than 50 years old. Very impressed, but it is a very small coin.

The coin is authentic and some details can be made i’ll give you that. But overall look its near impossible to tell what the scene on the back is and the face is shown but worn out, looks close to nothing like the photo shown. Still a great piece of history, but not in the condition shown.

People should understand these coins are very old. As a result, it is reasonable that the images are not going to be perfect as when they were first minted in the ancient world. My coin does have an image of a person and some design on the back. The person is a product of typical ancient Roman art. I need to study the coin under a magnifying glass more. I'm satisfied.

What an awesome gift! A cool piece of history! The clarity of the coin was AMAZING and my boyfriend absolutely loved it! I got this for him for his birthday, and it's a good choice for the history lovers!
