A bit of a bone shaker, and doesn't like even slight hills
I use this to make my walk and commute more bearable in London, so 'scoot' to the station in the morning. The local pavements leave a little to be desired, so the hard wheels make my teeth chatter as I ride along the pavements and roads. It's got a long foot base, so not easy to put anywhere on the train, so I find myself standing near the doors rather than packing away and taking a seat, but that's my choice as I don't want to inconvenience others on the train or have it stolen.Once is central London, the ride is better, as pavements and roads are smooth, and there are lots of quite bike lanes, so I feel safe riding. Fortunately the police turn a blind eye to the fact they're not road or pavement legal, but the Mayor of London is trying to legalise these to reduce pollution (top man!)On the flat, I'm typically achieving 20km per hour and I've reduced my walk time by a third, which is fantastic.I felt self conscious as a 50 year old commuter when I first rode it, any people politely look out the corner of their eye and sometimes smile (it does look ridiculous in reality!), but there are quite a few of the scooters in and around town now, that it's becoming normal.I do wish I'd paid more for a better model, with pneumatic tyres, but choose this as it folds flat, whereas the big boy ones don't. In hindsight, not a massive benefit.I know you can get faster ones that do 32mph, (but cost a small fortune) and I always want to go faster. It's not until you're amongst pedestrians that you realise that you are actually travelling around 15mph and leaving them all behind.I have to say, it's great fun. A bit of a bone shaker and needs the bolts tightening as part of it's maintenance, particularly on receipt. It's not obvious why you receive three different Allen Keys in the box, but it becomes obvious once you've ridden it after a few miles. Not a frequent thing, but keep them to hand! The rear light is weird. It seems to be activated by vibration/movement, so not sure how effective or useful it is.LEDs on the front are very bright. You'll definitely be seen. They won't light your way, but will keep you visible.Quite heavy to carry through stations, but not normally carrying it for too long. It's not easy to fold and wheel along, as it has some play in the movement when locked closed. The book says when the battery is flat it can free wheel, like a normal scooter. It can't. It has friction and doesn't behave as expected - you'll end us pushing it, or scooting with some effort. Finally, the electric brake and footbrake get some getting used to, but are very effective. Be careful though, if you hop off and the footplate spins towards your shin, it really hurts!! Be warned.Actually, one more point. The footplate is low down, so any bumps (drop kerbs etc.) should be approached with care until you're used to it. You will ground quite easily and very quickly learn how to choose your route.Great fun though. As a mid range scooter, it's good value and my kids keep trying to have a go, completely forgetting this is for big kids ONLY. :)

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!
Having used this scooter for approximately 2 months it suddenly lost all power and started to make a terrible grinding noice. While I understand faults can occur on any product of this type regardless of cost, that is not the reason for the strong advice given. The company that provides the scooter are poor to say the least, they make you jump through hoops, requiring photos, videos and descriptions that need to be sent several times to eventually tell you, you need to buy a service pack from them before they will even assess the fault! Not good.

Battery unpredictable
Bought this as a gift to my wife at christmas to commute to and from the station.... 20 minutes each way. She only used it for 3 months before internal parts broke off and became dangerous to use.Acceleration even with a full battery, can be extremely sluggish and sometimes a joy to ride.

Even though it folds it's still quite clunky.
It could have done with a little more power.
