Requires some practice to get this just right
It takes a bit of practice to get this just right. This product must be stirred fried for about 3-4 minutes in oil (and with your choice of seasonings...such as salt, pepper, chili powder, or whatever else). If it is stir-fried for too long, it will burn badly, and if it is not stir-fried long enough, it is kind of tasteless. If it is done just right, you will have a great popcorn-like treat...but better!

Surprisingly bad…
These tasted like stale cigarettes. Was so excited to try them after seeing a short documentary on YouTube about fox nuts. But these were quite bad. Like confusingly bad. I checked the expiration date and it was 2025, so they weren’t stale. Can’t imagine how sautéing them with spices would cover up the cigarette flavor. Genuinely confused about the fuss over these.

Different
Kind of like popcorn but not like popcorn. But I do like it. Just didn't have any spicy flavor that I personally could taste. That's why I gave it a 4 not a 5, because it doesn't taste any different to me than the regular non spicy one

Healthiest, wonderful snack
My whole family now loves popped lotus seeds. We all eat them instead of popcorn. Incredible how many health benefits are packed in each seed. It has calcium, antioxidants, and may improve blood sugar management. Has almost no calories and even my grandchildren and dog loves them when they get one that dropped.

Not Worth It
As the title implies, this was not worth the purchase. Perhaps if it was freshly popped seeds, then yes, but overall it lacked flavor and was bland.
