I bought two of these fishbone clips, one for myself and one for my niece. We are both very happy with it. It's a very sturdy metal that is easy to open and close and doesn't feel like it will break easily. It's not too big but it can hold up my very long hair folded up securely. My only complaint is it does catch in my hair when trying to remove, but I'm not usually styling my hair when using it so it's not a deal breaker. They really are adorable and I'm quite happy with them.

This hair clip is very cute but it’s for people with thick hair. It’s very heavy in weight. I gave it to my niece because she’s got very thick hair. She’s gotten a lot of compliments on it.

This clip is really cute, i like that it is metal so it is sturdier than plastic… but that means it is heavier too. I have big wavy long hair so it holds it up well. Does have the tendency to get hair stuck in the “fish scales” so a bit tricky to take out of my hair due to my frizz, but worth it.

Obviously I purchased this because of the whimsical design. I have had other similar clips that really didn't work solo, and required you to secure your hair with something else prior to placing the device. This one is stout with a very firm grip on things. I have long heavy hair, and it can hold 6 - 8 hrs before it begins to slip, which is a great accomplishment. Be careful of those teeth however, this can be a bit sharp. The metal is coated with a gloss finish, which thus far has been quite resilient to repeated use. Would highly recommend.

This hair clip smells like wet metal and it’s gross. The smell sticks to your hair, and it’s a smaller clip than I anticipated. The clip is so cute and sturdy. :(

I purchased the snake and the fishbone hair clips. It isn't clear right away that the snake is a snake, so I plant to wear it to formal events. Both clips are very strong & hold my hair well. The snake is larger, which is what I need b/c I have long hair. The snake, particularly the square jewels hanging down did tangle easily in my hair, but that only happened when I was taking it out.
