TAMIYA Models Heinkel He 162A-2 Salamander Model Kit

A lovely little model, well designed and constructed. Instructions are easy to follow.

Very nicely detailed model and simple to build. More interesting to paint and the scale provides an excellent size for the model top be viewed.

Decent kit of an interesting subject. Can't fault it too much, but the fit of the canopy (front piece) could be better. I thankfully had picked up on this from build reviews and did some work to rectify this prior to gluing the piece in-place and going to work with the airbrush. Then only some very minor filling and sanding needed to remove seam lines, job done. Decals were decent too and settled very nicely after some liberal coats of mircosol. Useful addition of a nose weight is nice touch and out of the box, a fine kit for the money. Highly recommended, but watch out for the canopy issue. I've seen many pictures of this model built with a horrible gap where it shouldn't be.

This is my first Tamiya plane and I suspect it will not be my last. Lovely kit. Some great touches such as including a weight. (Why don't more manufacturers do that?) Really nice build.

Worst Tamiya model I have done, parts just would not fit had to use a lot of filler.Decided to give up when the canopy would not fit.One star for this one unfortunately, but you live and learn.

Ottimo modello, superdettagliato del resto e un Tamiya....possibile realizzarlo anche con motore di scorta.

航空機のプラモデルの2作目に選んだキットです。戦車などのプラモデルはよく作るのですが航空機はほぼ素人の私でさえここまで作る事が出来ました。パーツ点数も多くなく1/48にしてはコンパクトで完成後も場所を取らないのは助かります笑デカールは数種類ありますのでバリエーション違いとしてあと2機ほど作ってみたいですね。航空機模型素人の方でも楽しみながら作れると思います。流石タミヤ製品！今回もストレスフリーで作る事が出来ました。

Tamiya makes the bests plastic. Models, bar none. Their cars, boats and airplanes (and radio controlled) are the finest quality, and this kit is a perfect example. The details, instructions, decals, all great. This kit is relatively simple, a good intro into the facilitating and educational world of modeling!

I loved this model. Parts are small but fit is perfect. I really liked the finished product. Large selection of quality decals.
