At less than $7 a light these Miootly lights are a fantastic bargain. They are extremely thin and utilize spring clips to hold them in place. There is also an easy connect junction box which makes connections very easy. Most importantly for me the lights are dimmable and the temperature can be set. I wanted a warmer temperature in the living room but more brighter/whiter temperature in the kitchen. The quality of these lights is pretty good and I would rank them equal to what you can get in some of the typical home improvement box stores. I went with a star rating of 4 vs a 5 due to two reasons. Some of the plastic cutouts jut out a little (see picture) which prevents the lights from being perfectly flat. This is not noticeable because the gap is so small and the plastic cutouts are on the underside, however this small gap can allow some hot attic air to get in the house. An easy fix is just to file these down a little. This leads to point two, some recessed light makers add a thin gasket to the underside of the light, this also prevents unconditioned air from entering the house and in this case would have helped alleviate the small gaps caused by the cut out. Not a big deal but would have been nice to have a gasket.

Did my family room with these. Nice and bright and color selectable. Installation was a breeze. (Mapping wasn’t) not sure how I feel about the quality. I’ve held quite a few different brands of spotlights but these just felt a bit dainty. Hopefully I’m wrong and they last a long time.

These lights are great. They're easy to install and put off a good amount of light. These are perfect for a quick room update and the quality is superior to others we've had in the past.

Very easy to install since they clamp on to the drywall rather than having to install a can against the framing. great brightness and for the price you cant really beat them. we will see how long they last.

Building a shop and decided to install these so I have more directed light and more of it as well. So far so good these went in very easy but like many of the other lights it would be nice for them to include a grommet where you punch out to run the wire. It was nice the push in connectors came with these lights. Also nicely packed as well! Looking forward to getting more installed.

So I have 6” LED lights that have gone out. Multiple have gone out and it hadn’t even been a year yet. I don’t know if it was due to quality control but they did.I got these as a replacement. These types of LED lights are great! They’re lower energy, brighter and dimmable. With these, you can change the color temperature from the junction box. You can choose from a cooler daylight color to a warmer color, depending on your preference. I leave mine at daylight. The junction box is nicely wired and comes with push connectors to connect your wires.Installation was simple. It does come with a template for making your cutouts. I’ve already got cut outs, so all I had to do was replace the junction box and wire the new light to it.From what I can tell, they turn on faster than my old ones. They’re a tad bit brighter also.Another thing I like about these, is that they handle dimming at lower levels much better than my old ones. At say 22% brightness they’d just shut off. These dim way further down until turning off.The build is fine. A smooth finish on the exterior ring. The lights are diffused by an opaque plastic. They clip into your ceiling and can be pulled out from the ceiling as well.I’d say a very good set of lights for an affordable price, compared to big stores. I’m hoping these last me longer than my last set.

I really like the look of these 6" recessed lights. They are very thin and have a very sleek, modern look. No bulky edges. Very smooth look that will look close to a flat seamless look on the ceiling. Im looking forward to installing these in my kitchen!
