Overall well made. How beefy? I used it on a railing post and it worked great. I don't know how well it would work on a 6 foot post. Seems like it would be a minimum size for a fence post where the wind is strong. The real issue is what kind of soil you place it in. The sandier the soil the less it's going to support. My soil is alluvial with lots of round rock and although it was a bear to get some of the bigger rocks out of the way the support did the trick after backfilling with soil and rock. In addition the screw holes are in a vertical line and should be offset to provide the greatest metal to wood strength.

Worked like a charm. Leveled it up and installed the unit. The whole job took about 20 minutes and my mailbox post is now level and secure. Love the fact that it’s brown in color. I highly recommend this product to solve the issue of a broken fence or mailbox post.

I had several cedar fence posts that had rotted below the ground. As a result, a recent severe storm actually knocked over large sections of the fence. I was able to securely brace the posts up with these supports and what I repaired is amazingly sturdy. They are pretty difficult to pound all the way in due to the soil conditions in our area (clay and a lot of rocks), but I found that even with some of the support remaining above ground level, they are still very sturdy and do the job!

This item was used to provide support to a roadside mailbox. It did require me to get an 8 LB sledgehammer to drive the support to be fully flush with the ground. The device design and materials were perfect for the application and, as a result, my Mailbox now stands alertly at attention. The drill bit and nut driver included in the package were ideal for completing the installation with the screws provided. A well thought out and well implemented design.

Helped stabilize my fence. Quick and easy

I had a single post rot away on my fence, and really didn't feel like disassembling the fence to replace a single post was worth it right now.These repair posts work very well, and are large enough to go deep and tall which actually reinforces the post well. I bought another cheaper product first that was smaller and failed to do the job, so I returned it.Make sure to bring a big hammer to get these in the ground.

Although not cheap, this is the best product available in my opinion. It is very strong and easy to drive into the ground, offset enough to skirt around the concrete that was used to install the fence, and very stiff to provide a sturdy post when done.

This is long term follow up review. I purchased these post corrector in March 2023 for my newish fence that was leaning over on 4 random posts. Installation was simply, the product is well made and robust and immediately after installing it corrected my fence. However, over time like after 4 months or so the fence began to lean again and get worse and worse, finally now its like I never installed this product. Looking carefully I can see the clay soil has expanded and contracted and just like the fence post this product has shifted rendering it useless. I think the main problem is the stake does not go deep enough to provide any long lasting solution. I suspect this is mostly a problem for those with heavy gumbo clay soil, perhaps sandy or rocky soil do not pose this issue. My 3 stars is for product design, the stake should be longer so as to drive them deeper into the earth.
