Over the counter relief with Under the Weather
This seems to be hit and miss with especially particular pups. Mine definitely falls into that category, but as allergy season ramps up, I was hoping to provide him with some relief resulting from a more nutritious and less pharmeceutical option.I had to doctor this up a bit, hitting it with a little dog friendly bone broth after sprinkling it on his food. After doing this for a few meals, I have, in fact noticed an improvement in his allergy sypmtoms. The issue isn't 100% resolved, but this has clearly made a positive impact that I find well worth the effort. My mid-sized shepherd hound mix has not given any sign to indicate that this supplement disagrees with him, and he goes about his days functioning optimally with a lot less exhibition of allergy-related discomfort. I'll continue to dispense per the directions as needed, and if there are any significant developments, I will update this review. So far, though, it seems to be performing as intended.

Helps for arthritis in senior dogs! Safely monitor the dose!
My 11-year chihuahua is getting arthritis pain, specifically on her knees. The vet recommended glucosamine with chondroitin. I decided to go with this brand because we’ve recently also used their nutritional Ready Cal supplement for underweight kittens and so far, their products have proven to be safe for our family pets. My dog ate the Hip & Joint version of the Under the Weather supplement mixed into her food even though she’s picky. She had no tummy distress afterwards. While I’m unsure how things will turn out long term, so far, so good. I’m glad I gave it a shot and this brand is certainly better quality than other generic glucosamine supplements. I wish they made a little chew out of it instead of powder, but either way, it’s a good product although pricey. Make sure you don’t give more than the recommended dose because glucosamine overdose can cause bad allergic reactions.

My dog likes it but after 2 weeks still waiting results
My dog likes the flavor and it smells better than some pet supplements. Today is the 14th day she has had it and she is still showing itchy symptoms. It can take a month to make a difference so I will update my review then. But so far no change with her but she likes it.

Penny likes it and Buddy wants some too.
I don't know if this Hip and Joint product works, it's been only a few days. The dog that is almost impossible to feed a pill likes the stuff. Buddy is very interested too but a sprinkle of parmesan cheese on his food distracts him.I don't see the attraction, it tastes funny to me. No chicken flavor to me. I had it all over my fingers finding the scoop, of course I licked my fingers. I don't see the attraction of dog cookies either but the dogs are all over "cookies are the best!".I gave Wilma glucosamine when her hips started to go and it didn't seem to help much. I know folks that swear that glucosamine is great stuff. But my experience is with one dog who was half Chow and half German Shepard.Penny is starting to have trouble once in a while jumping up on the bed. She just turned 11. I'm going to try this and hope. She runs around the yard just fine, it's just hopping up on the bed or the sofa. Maybe it's just age. It's a very fine powder, like powder sugar or talcum powder. I stir with the scoop to fluff it up when I measure it.Penny likes it. I'll use this container and buy another if I see any improvement.Edit March 11:Penny seems to be more active. Maybe it's the weather. I think it is this Joint and Hip powder. She gets one scoop on her supper. By the directions she should get three scoops. If there are 120 scoops (four months) in the container, I must be doing too many heaping scoops because I'm about a month short. Anyway, it doesn't matter. She's trotting around perkier and can hop up on the bed and sofa without staring at me with that "lift me up" stare.I just bought two more containers. She's worth it. Just saying.

Dosing not on container
Wish the dosing was on the container. My dog did not seem to mind it and he is a picky guy. It’s easier than crumbling a tablet.

Seems to be a Nutritional Product But No Apparent Improvements
I think this product is nutritional and probably has some benefits; however, I was hoping to see a decrease in my dog's itching and licking and that did not happen. He did seem to like the taste and began to wait to eat his foot until this was spread over it. We did not see any negative results from this supplement.

Dog did not like, no visible results
I had trouble getting my dog with allergies to eat this with his food, unfortunately. We tried for about a month but did not see any visible results of it helping him. There was no reduction in redness, scratching, or any of his other allergy symptoms. Your dog's allergies may be different than mine so I can't say this will or won't work for you but my experience has been negative.
