These Vinsun light bulbs are fantastic! So good in fact I have purchased the same set twice. I purchased my first set over 6 years ago and they lasted that long too! On both occasions, they have been reliable.The quality of the packaging is excellent, as the weight of the cardboard feels premium. But even more important is the quality of the bulb. Amazing quality light and the design of the bulb is beautiful too.The kitchen is ‘lit’ thanks to these bulbs. Three Vinsun spotlights, light the centre stage as I stand in front of all my adoring pans and sing, “I can see clearly now. The light is on!”The set represents excellent value for money. They are some of the best, if not the best LED light bulbs I have purchased.

I was looking for a replacement to the halogen 50w bulbs, but flatter for a cooker hood. These seemed to be about the right shape and even though I was concerned they were only '40w' they seemed on par for brightness so very usable.The only negative was the slightly shorter length than the halogens and maybe a tad wider at the light end so I had to make a minor adjustment to the holder but I think the cooker hooker allowed for this.Overall, after getting the fitting slightly shortened, these look great in the cooker hood.

I bougt these to replace our standard spot light bulbs and the price is what chose me to decide on these particular ones.The packaging impressed me firstly, both delivery package and product package, which was surprisingly high quality. More like a box of expensive cosmetics than a light bulb.The bulb itself also appeared high quality, much more so than other LED bulbs I've tried though this is the first spot light LED I've tried.They replaced a ceiling spot of 3 lights and I was happy with the brightness of the room afterwards. They claim 5w is equal to around 35w of standard light. I replaced 3 standard 40w bulbs and was expecting a little less brightness because of this, but the room is definitely brighter than before.It casts a warmer colour to the room than previous and I quite like. They do cast harsher shadows than I was expecting which I guess proves their strength.If everything remains as is then I won't hesitate to use this brand again. I note some users are not impressed with their life span. If I find the same then I will update my review accordingly.

Not sure of longevity but work perfectly

LED light technology has really come on over the last 3 years. (car headlights, head torches that last 30+ hours on one AAA battery, bike lighst as bright as headlights)These bulbs simply weren't available in 240 volt versions until recently. Visually they are the same size as the halogen bulb equivalent. Bought to replace some low energy florescent bulb spotlights, that were well ...low power, but very dim and need to warm up compared to halogen and visually threw out what looks like 15 watts brightness each. These are a really great product, 5 watts power consumption, bright, instant equivalent of 40-50 watt brightness each, no down side subject to their longevity. Highly recommended.

Got these for spotlights for my hobby bench. The light is bright and good angle for my purpose, the colour temperature is consistent and a good clear white, no blue tinge at all.There is no noticeable flicker and they have lasted 2 years so far without issue.Will be buying the GU10 version for replacements in my other lights as and when needed.I would say they are more like a 60W equivalent than 40W, as they are very bright.

Replaced 2x 50W halogen bulbs with two 5W LED bulbs, looks to have same light output to the halogens they replaced but using 90% less energy.For me the colour is a bit too warm at 2700K I'd have preferred closer to daylight (5500K) but a minor point.
