The war
A great book. The book is brutal and action-packed. It's also an amazing story. It is not hard to think of Frank Castle / The Punisher as a tragedy, but the layers added to the character in this book are amazing. This quote sums the book perfectly"Frank is a simple man. Frank is the most complicated man alive. "The contradiction of the quote makes for a great story and great character development or character discovery.Beast has its high slayer. What will a superpowers Punisher unleash on the guilty. It also asks gge moral question to me as a reader should the Punisher be stopped? If so, who has what it takes to stop him? I am surprised at a couple of members as their methods are as brutal as the Punisher's. The book also the book explores the early life of Frank and in between his time of returning from the war to the birth of the Punisher. This is the most interesting the Punisher have been (possibly ever). The book finishes with an epilogue possibility of new things to come, and a thumbnail varient covers gallery. The end word from Jason Aaron states how proud he is of the book and what he hoped to accomplish with it. I think he should be proud as for me, he accomplished what he set out to do.

The most important punisher comic since Ennis Run
This collection feels like a watershed moment and a great addition to the punisher Folklore.Prob the best comic since the Ennis Max run, slightly more mystical than Ennis gritty series , but no less important. In 2023 Marvel has an issue with the fundamentals of the punisher character, however books like these sell and do well. This collection tackles the very heart of Frank Castles problems and where he came from.Setting up a blockbuster finish. Will not give any spoilers here… getting to the ending felt like the writer was throwing everything at it just to raise the bar, which after such a fantastic storyline was not required. However the overall story line is a good one and certainly will stand up in Punisher Folklore. Not sure where the character goes from here i know in comics they row back or ignore some elements however it does feel like a watershed moment.Violent, mystical and well written the art work is excellent and also underlying horror elements driving the character to achieve.Pick it up worth a read you will not be dissapointed.

one of the coolest Punisher stories ever
This whole arc has been such a treat. I bought both trades after picking up a single at my lcs and trying it out. Jason Aaron always delivers.

Heartbreaking
My favorite aspect of this book is that we retain the writer/art team. I understand deadlines. I just prefer books that keep consistency through an individual storyline. The Aaron Punisher (2022-2023) series does that.Art: The art shifts depending on the current storyline or flashback and it’s a treat. Both Jesus and Paul are absolute masters of their craft. They each manage to develop a world that gives us a peek into Frank’s past and how it ties to his current situation. Matt and Dave split coloring duties this volume, but it’s seamless.Writing: Jason Aaron closes his series with a bullet to the chest. It was heartbreaking and truthful. The motivations felt accurate, yet sad. This one will stick with me for a while. We all know what it feels like to lose someone. How do we choose to honor them?A fine piece of work.Clearly don’t start here if you have never read the Punisher before. Pick up anything by Ennis first. Revisit this after you’ve seen how much pleasure Frank gets from dispensing unlimited bad guys. This series hits deeper if you’ve seen Frank at “his best” before diving in.

Gran finale
Aldilà di tutto, è stata un'ottima run, e questo è un inatteso e gran finale. La storia di Frank Castle non è mai stata così drammatica e profonda.

Punisher no more
I've always liked the Punisher, going back to Garth Ennis' first mini series. Sure, he's a mass murderer, but he's taking criminals out.I guess eventually someone had to end him or put him away. I really enjoyed the story of Frank leading the Hand and the return of his wife, who I hope isn't going to just disappear, never to be seen again.Great series with exceptional writing, good art, and great ending.

End of an era
I loved this character but due to our political climate his time has come to an end. I am sorry to see him go.
