Fierce Betrayal: L.A. Ruthless, Book 3

Fierce.. ly HOT
So. Hot! I fell in love with Sadie’s writing when I devoured her New York Ruthless series, and this one didn’t disappoint. This one has all the yummy forbidden tropes mixed with suspense and the dark mafia trope. Jax is the perfect mix of southern gentlemen and Dirty Daddy. His filthy mouth is on point and nearly melted my kindle. Lucia is such a fantastic character. She has been through all kinds of bad, yet she is still loving and a great person. She’s my favorite character in this book. She knows what she wants and even when it’s hard, stands up for herself. The downside to forbidden tropes is other people thinking they can make decisions for other adults because they want what’s best for them. Jax’s waffling and Alejandro’s pig headedness did get annoying sometimes, but I know it’s par for the course in this type of book. The chemistry is scorching hot and I loved watching Jax try not to crumble when Luce decided she was finally going to have him. Well written, with a well deserved HEA. I love this world Sadie has created, and I can’t wait to see more. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a H. O. T. age gap with touch her and *be unalived* vibes.

well 🦦📖
I was and still and a huge fan of Fierce King and Queen (book 1 & 2 in the series) and I have to admit I was scared of reading Fierce betrayal. But it was fine 🌈✨It’s the story of 2 different MC but is a the continuity of the whole “story”.The 🌶️🌶️ was more than good even if I would have loved for the MCs to have more internal battles on their relationship. I feel like it was too “easy” or brought too “fast”. Alex’s reaction is somewhat odd to me too.But overall, it is till a Sadie Kincaid book and is fine as hell 🔥

Perfect Dad's Best Friend Romance
This is the third book in the L.A. Ruthless Series and the focus is on Jax and Lucia. Sadie does not disappoint with this book! A true Dad's best-friend romance. Jax and Lucia sneak around with stolen looks and secret touches. Until her life in is danger and Jax takes her to the ranch to keep her and her son safe.Jax feels guilty though because he is lying to his best friend and someone who is family to him. Lucia knows it will destroy the relationship that her Dad and Jax have when her Dad finds out what is going on.There is some angst when Alejandro finds out about their relationship but they work through it and come out stronger in the end. Jax and Alejandro have to work together to save Lucia in the end as well. All of the other characters are there as well. Alanna is still her spunky self and evens on over on Jax. Jax has grown to love Alanna as well.

And and Lucia
And has spent the last four years protecting Lucia . As her father is his best friend he wasn't her body guard but Jax felt the need to protect her all the same. Lucia became so much more to him, her and her son. When a stalker comes for her Jax felt the need to be her personal protector and took her away from LA, where he let her and her son into his life beyond the job he does for Alejendro. Lucia has become everything to Jax can be live without her if his best friend her father can't except their connection?

A little too much
Lucricia “purrs” too often and Jax “growls” too much. The sex scenes got a little too repetitive and boring so I started skimming past them. Kind of like watching porn, when all they do is have sex it gets monotonous. She could have cut half the sex scenes.

My father's best friend
Not my father's best friend. Who I have wanted since I was sixteen.Jax, not my best friend daughter. When did this turn into something more.A one night stand that turned to marriage.

The LA Cowboy gets his girl… but Daddy isn’t too pleased
OK… I’m going to start this review by saying… even though the blurb says that this is a standalone, I very strongly suggest that you read books one and two (Fierce King and Fierce Queen) before you read this fantastic addition to the LA Ruthless series. It isn’t imperative and you will still get great enjoyment from reading this without it, however you will have a much better and clearer understanding of the family dynamic and the relationships between Jax, Lucia and Alejandro. This is a complicated relationship because it’s frowned upon for so many reasons… but right for so many more.Firstly… there’s the age gap. Working it out Jax is 16 years older than Lucia. The same age she was when she became pregnant with her baby Matthias. So technically, yes he is old enough to be her father. But you forget about that because Jax has never appeared to be a lot older and having been through so much in her life, Lucia is a very mature young woman. Sure she has her moments of immaturity but the age gap doesn’t feel so huge when they are together.Secondly… and probably most importantly, Jax is Lucia’s fathers best friend and right hand man. They have been friends since they were fourteen and worked together right from the moment Alejandro started to take over the family business. They are renowned for their close bond and their ruthlessness when they work together to bring down the enemies of the Montoya Corporation. Jax knows that being a relationship with his best friends daughter is practically signing his death warrant - but as much as he’s tried to walk away from how he feels about Lucia and her son, he can’t deny that he loves them. And he’s willing to risk everything to be with them.Right from book 1, I’ve loved Jax. He’s got that loving and caring nature to him that is evident in his loyalty to his best friend but also in the way he treats Lucia and Matthias. He worships the ground she walks on but also knows her well enough to know how to keep her in line. And the way he is with her son is so heartwarming. I so wanted them to work everything out because they make such a cute little family but the sticking point was always going to be Alejandro.Even though Lucia isn’t his biological daughter (she’s actually his niece as his Uncle was her biological dad - long story… read books 1 & 2) Alejandro treats Lucia as though she is his own blood. He’s fiercely possessive… but then so is Jax. So as you can imagine, that struggle for dominance over Lucia’s heart is always going to be difficult. Jax and Lucia know their love is going to hurt Alejandro but they can’t help how they feel. For Alejandro, this is an act of betrayal from his best friend, his brother in all but blood… and instead of thinking of all the ways in which having his right hand man protecting his daughter and grandson with his love, he sees their union as a direct hit to his loyalty towards their friendship. It’s only when Lucia’s life is put in danger meaning that Alejandro and Jax must once again work together that Alejandro begins to accept that Jax truly loves his daughter. He may not exactly like it, but what better man could he choose to love Lucia than the man he loves deeply too. Will Alejandro be able to put aside his feelings for the sake of his daughter’s happiness? Will he ever be able to forgive his friend for falling in love with the one woman that should have been off limits?Fantastic story and I hope that we get to find out more about what happens to Lucia and Jax in book 4 as I really hope that they get the happiness they deserve… and her fathers approval.Another brilliant book by Kincaid. I always knew Jax would be a demon between the sheets but holy moly… he’s a certified sex god. Very similar to Alejandro he has that darkly delicious streak that makes your insides melt like butter but there’s also a tenderness that makes you warm and fuzzy too. Both sides of him are equally amazing. If I had one wish, I’d have liked more scenes at the ranch because it showed Jax in a different light. He wasn’t the broodingly gorgeous but deadly assassin… he was the devastatingly handsome wholesome cowboy and I wanted more of that side of him.Excellent read. Immersive, compelling and yet another page-turner from beginning to end.

3.5* good if you like lots of sex & violence
I like the character of Lucia & had read books 1 & 2 first. Bit odd that she now calls Alana & Alejandro mom & dad even though Alana is only about 8 years older than her!Quite like Jax but he seriously has slept with a lot of people and I can see why Lucia wouldn't want to move into his house. It always concerns me when characters who have had any kind of abusive background are in relationships with dominant partners who like rough sex but don't discuss boundaries or gain full consent beforehand. After 1 encounter Jax does realise if he'd had full information he would have handled it differently...Liked Jax's relationship with Lucia's son and enjoyed their trip to the ranch in Texas.Story seemed complete so not sure what to expect in book 4, which is released at the end of this month.

Hot!
Jax Decker and Lucia Montoya are 😍. She is a strong, fierce mafia princess and knows who she wants. He is a natural protector and her father's best friend. When they come together it is all 🔥🔥🔥. Jax is dominant and Lucia knows how to press his buttons and the spice is perfection. There is so much more to the story though, we get to find out more about their history, how close they have become, how Jax finally sees Lucia and realizes his feelings. There is someone out to get Lucia, will Jax and Alex be able to save her? And can Alex forgive his best friend? We get to see Alex and Alana Montoya again in this book, which is great (we also get a small cameo from Shane and Jessie, from The Ryan brothers!) Sadie writes brilliant, hot mafia romance and this is no exception.

So worth the wait!
As soon as Sadie announced this book I was eagerly waiting and it did not disappoint.Lucia and Jax’s story was a perfect blend of heat, spice, anticipation and everything else in between.I adored how Jax fought for Lucia no matter what obstacles were in his way - I think this made Jax even hotter. Wow. What a man!The phone scene did make me chuckle! And Lucia’s growth and fierce nature was one I wasn’t expecting at all. She is a force to be reckoned with. This book was utter perfection. It was the perfect cocktail of depth, spice and emotion. So worth the wait!

Sadie has done it again!!!!
After discovering Sadie on TikTok around 6 months ago, I have devoured every single one of her books and have been left waiting in great anticipation for the next installment. You will not be disappointed by Fierce Betrayal, trust me! This book delivers on all fronts; fabulous storyline (with well-timed nods to the rest of the characters from the LA series but without distracting from Jax and Lucia's story) a strong female and hotter than hell guy and ALL the spice you'd expect from this age gap/forbidden love story. This took me less than a day to read as I couldn't put it down!!! Can't wait for the next one
