A grower not a shower
It took me a while to concentrate and get into this book, but once I did I found myself enjoying it! Also loved the twist. Worth a read.

An easy read
The story was interesting and the writing style I found slightly unusual. But I did enjoy it.The first two thirds of the story is written from a first person perspective as a confession. There are no speech marks or interaction from others. Only the recounting of the story from the main character's point of view. Then the viewpoint shifts to third person from a second point of view and shifts back and forth between the two until the end. In this second viewpoint the writing becomes more conventional with speech marks and more obvious interactions. I liked the twist about two thirds in and it kept me reading all the way to the end.

Easy and interesting read
A great book with a great twist at the end which makes you think about all the previous chapters in a fresh light.I'm not a huge reader and I could pick this book up with ease.

Loved it..wish it was longer!
I picked this up as it was selected for Reese's Bookclub. Such a good and addictive read. I loved the format where Ava is talking to the detective, I felt like it really added something unique to the book. I loved the characters Ava and Winnie although I would have liked to hear about Winnie more. Can't believe the negative reviews, this book had me gripped from the start!4 stars for me just because I really wish it was longer as I wanted to carry on reading! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A great read!
A thrilling read and not at all what I expected.Ava is being interviewed by a detective about how she got involved in returning counterfeit handbags to department stores, and we hear all about an old friend who came back into her life and convinced her to help her out. Ava seems completely innocent and like she has been coerced by this friend and I felt sorry for her most of the way through, until I got to Winnie’s version of the truth. It was interesting to see how both women described the same situations. It was interesting to get an insight into just how good some of the counterfeit handbags being sold in China really are and how a lot of people wouldn’t even be able to tell the difference.

Ok
I knew from the first few pages, the book lacked depth, but I preserved and was not rewarded. The book was average at best.
