Best I have tasted
These are the best lentils I have ever tasted. They have a lovely soft creamy consistency. I eat a lot of homemade vegetable soup which I make in large batches. After the soup is cooked I add these and simmer for a further 3 to 5 minutes to heat them through. Delicious and because lentils contain protein I don't feel hungry for hours after I have eaten my soup.Over the years I have tried cooking dried red lentils that I have purchased from various supermarkets. Every single attempt has resulted either in hard lentils that won't soften, or they turn to mush, shed their skins and have a very dry taste. I have tried all recommendations, i.e. use a gentle simmer only - don't boil vigorously, don't put salt or anything acidic with them when cooking. I've had failure after failure. I don't know whether its the hard water in my area or the dried lentils are too old on the supermarket shelves. They don't put a "use by date" on them so you can't tell.So now I have given up with dried legumes and will stick with these.

Yum!
By far the most delicious lentils I’ve tried in a can. They are so tasty you could practically eat them from the tin.

Tasty and convenient
I love them! They are tasty and convenient. Great for salads, sides, stews, currys, etc. I'd definitely recommend them, in fact I already have to most of my friends.

My favourite lentils. Very nice with bacon as an evening meal or even just with onions.Much better than the fresh lentils or other canned lentils.
