I didn't need this for woodworking but for another job that. needs a mallet. a simple enough tool to knock retaining rubber into a groove (Ken Bromley watercolour paper stretcher.) Does the job no worries.

Woodworking is myhobby so I brought it to use it with chissels. For making joints ect

Absolute bargain for a quality Timothy!. Treated mine with Linseed oil and expect it to give years of service. Speedy delivery and couldn't be happier(and by the way...what's a hammerfore?..... it's for knocking nails in!).

As described, arrived on time and does the job its meant for.

Much lighter than I was expecting and it appears to be rapidly wilting banging in windbreak wooden poles. Hmmm.....maybe a much softer wood is being used.

Quiet how they make a mallet for this price I don't know. I don't profess to be an expert on mallets but it's as good as any I've seen. Perfect for putting up the windbreak.

Was expecting something a little heavier,, but its ok for light jobs
