Great suction power
This is a strong vacuum but ten pounds on your back is heavier than you’d think. I couldn’t get the straps tight enough for the vacuum to be secure. It would move around and throw me off balance especially when cleaning the stairs. It’s also really large and bulky so would not work well in small spaces. The long cord is well made but adds to the weight and need for a larger space. The bag is small and will need replacement often. I think this vacuum would work for men and for large open spaces best. I really wanted to love it because the suction is amazing but ultimately had to return it.

Suction is beyond compare
As much as I want to say the price hurt, I can’t. The X8 Pro replaced my Dyson which was only 8 months old. I was originally buying it to compliment my Prolux Core buffer. The X8 surpassed all my expectations in regards of suction. My floors never “felt” so clean. I have hardwood and tile in my home and the ability to go from one surface to another without changing surface tools, wow.The weight for a backpack vacuum isn’t bad but then I’m accustomed to wearing backpacks/rucksacks in the Army.My only complaint is changing the brush with the squeegee tool. The brush broke because taking it out was difficult to say the least. If you can get past that, you’ll be fine. It’s just at this price point, it shouldn’t be that difficult to replace interchangeable tools. Otherwise, solid machine. One question, where can I find a replacement brush?

Buy Quality and Cry Only Once
This vacuum is an excellent purchase. I have had several expensive vacuums over the years. This isn't the most expensive vacuum I've bought - but it's the best. That's no hyperbole - this is a time saver and it's a quality piece of equipment. You put this on your back and go! I have indoor dogs so vacuuming frequently is necessary. This unit doesn't weigh much. The cord is heavy duty and gauge would be okay on a commercial or construction site.I transition from wood floor to rugs in my cleaning. The Prolux might not suck the chrome off a trailer hitch but you don't need a beater bar vacuum - this will clean carpet quickly and thoroughly. You can also get cobwebs and switch nozzles to do furniture as you move through the room. The hose does not crush when you bend it like shop vacuum hoses will - this is critical if you are really moving. I cannot stress how much the hose is a factor in making cleaning easy.Probably the best thing is the HEPA rating. I have children with breathing issues - and running this vacuum through the house a few times a week really has helped indoor air quality. Finally, I often pretend I am putting on my ptoto pack to bust ghosts when I pull those out of the utility closet. All need are some coveralls.

RIPPED HARNESS? ALREADY?? DO NOT RECCOMEND
My old vacuum cleaner, while works fine, it looks old and I thought it was time to upgrade to a newer, fancier vacuum cleaner. While it was expensive, I thought it was a worth investment. However last week when I was using it, the harness ripped before I could even use it. I was like, WHATTTT, it hasn't even been 4 months yet but, how could it have ripped so easily? My old cleaner of 4 years is more sturdy, efficient, and cheaper than this one. Luckily I still have it and have been using it while the new one is in storage.Even if the ripped harness wasn't the problem, the vacuum itself doesn't feel practical. The filter bags are $40 to replace. The vacuum is very small and fills up quickly. The vacuum itself does not stand upright and when it does, it tips over easily. The suction is very strong though. However, it is too strong because it throws out strong air, which is a problem because it knocks off things when I am cleaning. For instance, the air knocked down a portrait while I was vacuuming and had to replace the frame for my client. Again, do not recommend, it looks pretty but it does not do the job.

Quality is not worth the cost compared to Proteam vaccum
I purchased this to replace a ProTeam vaccum. They do not compare. The floor heads have wheels both for wood and carpet. This impedes the ability to move the vaccum head into various tight areas. It also impacts the ability of the head to actually touch the floor and pick up all items. Also, the metal wand does not extend as long as hoped. The materials are too light weight and are like those I would expect on a chain store vaccum. The additional heads which are advertised for use on upholstery look like child toys and do not amount to much. I am hoping my ProTeam part comes so I can fix that vaccum. I will keep the Prolux as back up.

Perfect
This machine is insanely light. I used to work as a cleaning technician, and have used many different kinds of backpack vacuums. This is by far the most comfortable. The suction will be plenty for any household or commercial task, although you will probably have to empty after about 1200sqft.

Would be 5 stars if wand stayed attached
This vacuum has excellent suction and the backpack features are comfortable, sturdy and convenient. The one thing I would change would be the connection mechanism for the wand and tools. The wand constantly slips off the hose and the tools alternate between getting stuck on the end of the wand or falling off. Would love a mechanism where they click into place. I have been tempted to tape the wand to the hose, but then I won’t be able to remove it when needed. Overall I’m happy with the purchase, but it would need these improvements to earn 5 stars.
