I purchased this kilt for my husband to wear while recovering from his second shoulder replacement surgery since he also has severe arthritis that makes it difficult to pull up shorts and underwear using just one arm after surgery, so going “regimental” with a kilt is the perfect recovery option. He wears it with one of his snap enclosure shirts during recovery. I had purchased 2 other kilts before this one and wish I had found this one first because it is by far our favorite! We love everything about the fit, material, and comfort. Great quality for the price! Highly recommend this company and product!

I'm a 32" waist anhad to punch a couple extra holes so it wasn't so tight. It's light weight and comfortable to wear. I cold water wash it and air dry. I do wish it had pockets tho.

I needed a costume piece suitable for warm weather renaissance faires, and this works perfectly for that. I used a sporran but also added a belt with leather pouch to hold wallet, keys and cellphone since it was more stable that way. Looks good when you're "trying to dress the lower half of an egg" because it gives the silhouette a much straighter line. It should fit right at the bellybutton, if not a little below, with the side buckles keeping it around the pelvic bone. Super easy to get into and out of, and because the fabric is a little light, I added a kilt pin and some other pins to weigh down the front in the event of a breeze. I also wore Dri-Fit cycling underwear to prevent chafing and toasted buns.Super happy with the kilt.

Perfect light 5 yard kilt for summer or hot winter days. Because this is only a 5 yard like it has only 6 very wide back pleats and only one leather strap and buckle at each side of waist, and be aware it has no sewn up hem anywhere on the bottom , the only stitched hem is at both open edges of apron. The 2 waist leather straps and metal buckles at the open edges of the apron are of good quality and the pleats were properly threaded together for mailing and transportation unlike some far more expensive 8 yard kilts . This is acrylic wool material with limited inside lining and should not be machine washed , regardless of what it says on the inside care instructions. It should be dry cleaned only and owner cool ironed! It is a very lightweight Kilt and will not hold up to any long term heavy duty use or wear and tear , but a great light kilt and fantastic value for money! A skilled Tailor can double the number of rear pleated to 12 if desired>? Also there is a need to release the top inside rear material from the kilt! There is a thread at the bottom of the inside top material holding it to the inside of the pleats! Cut this holding thread carefully and pull it all out carefully! It is a remarkably great price at only $22 plus $11 shipping and $5 tax, total $38 or less for a great lightweight kilt, available in a number of plaid colors and tartans. Very highly recommended!

It's certainly lightweight, and good for festivals or casual wear. I would not use this for formal wear. Compared to my formal kilts, you can easily note the different in quality. Mine had some strings hanging from it that I just snipped off, it didn't cause the kilt to be ruined however. All in all, this is perfect for what I needed it for, which was causal wear. For the price, it's good deal.

Nothing cheap here. This kilt has the weight and quality you’re looking for. I did return it and ordered a different size as it ran large … but order your normal size for yourself as it adjustable. I love this kilt!! Cheers!!

Highly reccomend it's a nice fitting piece just gotta be careful of the sizing.
