ABSOLUTELY RUBBISH!!
When I received this product, it felt cheaply made, almost like something out of a Christmas cracker. I expected something much better for £20.00.The instructions are diabolical and as basic as they come. I had to look online how you reset the daily steps as it doesn't mention it. It actually resets itself at midnight to those who don't know. Now, accuracy is the main thing.. isn't it? Well when I set the clock it lost 10 minutes in one day. That's the quality of the electronics inside. The step counter just made any figures up. I tried it loose in my pocket which was totally different when hooked to my belt. Even when hooked to my belt the steps were not the same on small test walks. You just cannot believe anything it says.!!I returned it immediately back to Amazon for a refund and will save up for a Garmin or Polar fitness tracker watch instead.Remember, buy cheap, buy twice !!

A great 'non tech' step counter
This is the third step counter I've bought and it's the best so far. My previous one was over estimating my steps because it was very sensitive, so I fell into a comfort zone of doing 10.000 plus steps per day, when in reality I was hardly moving! I was shocked when I started using this stepper, as it halved my supposed step count immediately. This is because it doesn't start counting unless you do a number of consecutive steps, and over a minute at least. Also, it counts actual steps and not 'false movements', unlike cheaper step counters and fit bit type digital kits. I don't get why people find it fussy to set up. It's really simple. I clip it to my pocket for accuracy. It's also far more robust than those types with rubber buttons. A great product.

Easy-to-use daily step count (for dog-walkers, amongst oithers)
I just wanted a daily count of the number of steps taken whilst dog-walking. Took five mins to set the initial options such as miles or kilometers, and to enter an average step length. Since then I have not had to adjust anything.I keep the counter in the pocket of my outdoor trousers and it works well. In the evening I have only to press the centre button and it shows me the total steps for that day. It automatically clears each midnight so no need to reset anything for next day. To see previous totals, just press the same button again and it displays previous days, one per press.I've tested it against manual step count and it seems accurate. (I've not bothered about the actual distance covered, which would depend on how well I had estimated my average step length, however for jogging it would be easy to set a consistent step length to check distance.)I know that Omron is a well-regarded maker of other equipment, and this step counter has proved to be simple and reliable (with none of the false readings I used to get from a different make, which would add in about 50 steps every time it got jiggled.)I would recommend this to anyone who wants a no-fuss step counter.

Best I have used
This is an excellent device. At first sight the instruction sheet seems huge until one realises that there are only 10 basic instructions repeated in 29 languages and supplemented and expanded by diagrams. Now I do not usually get on very well with diagrams, but I managed pretty well with this lot. I had the biggest problem with one on fitting the catch, how it is used was not at all clear to me and when I finally succeed in opening it I thought I had broken it in half! The diagrams mastered, setting up was quite easy.It is far more sensitive and accurate than others I have used in that it can be carried anywhere, in a pocket or a bag, because it is sensitive to movement in any direction, not just up and down as in some cheaper models. This might seem to be a disadvantage but it avoids registering random movements by not displaying for four seconds and the picks up from there plus all the previous steps. Steps are counted and then the total displayed but there is a subset available of what are called .'aerobic steps' defined as 60 steps a minute and 10 mins contiuous movement. Some might find the size of the buttons a problem as they are small and have to pressed quite firmly to register. The main display is small but readable, but the units e.g.kg, kcal are very smalland I found needed a good light to be clearly seen. All in all a very satisfactory device.

Step counter that shows just how unfit you are
Small step counter. Clip is sturdy enough so you don't worry that the counter is going to fall off. Downside to it though is if you don't have pockets. Elasticated waistbands don't really grip the counter so you do rely on the clip keeping the counter on your person. I found that clipping it to my bra didn't work as you could tell that there was something under your top - square shape about 1.5 inches by 1 inch shows through! I found that the counter didn't count the steps that I did if it wasn't against my body (ie couldn't just let it "dangle" from a waistband, had to tuck it in the waistband - which I thought that it might have been able to do as it says it has 3D sensors but maybe I misunderstood what this meant). I didn't realise how little I actually walked on a day to day basis based in an office - have not been able to reach the recommended 10000 steps yet (so have yet to see the little excited man appear on the screen!) even though I go out walking during lunch. I would have prefered that the counter actually counted all the steps I took rather than just the amount after the first 10 steps each time as just walking round the kitchen etc would have increased the quantity by a couple of hundred a day! Not really exercise but steps are steps! The screen turns itself off after a couple of minutes to save battery which is good - still keeps counting and to get the screen back again, you just press any button again. It also counts the aerobic steps as well as the normal steps - so if you walk for more than a good 10 minutes no stopping and a constant speed (not dawdling), it will tell you (on another screen) how many of your total steps that day were aerobic. It tells you how many miles you've walked (although how accurate that is I don't know as I couldn't get the calculations to work exact so it is only rough). It also tells you how many calories burnt. A step counter that does a little bit extra!
