Its surprisingly well made!
For the price I was completely expecting junk. Was shocked when I unboxed, this is a top quality small hatchet for backpacking / bushcraft use.

Perfect for my needs & expectations.
First off i got it at a good price and got it as a starter carving axe. While the steel is far from perfect it is symmetrical and seems a decent grind and geometry. What really makes it for me is the handle. It being beech at this size and for this use has little effect. As an example any more standard axe use with a longer handle i would need a good synthetic or ash or hickory. My hand is relatively very large, but this seems to work perfectly for me and allows me to do a 2 finger choke up, a full hand grip and the outsized end allows me a controlled 2 finger grip on the end.I am aware as anyone else should be while this works well for me it will not work as well for the general population. At least that is my opinion.

Nice little starter hatchet. Good price for OK quality.
Like the shape and quality of the forged hatchet head and handle. Smaller and lighter weight than many alternatives. My blade did not come very sharp or very precise and was not uniform in shape, so if you have the skills, you might want to modify it to your liking. Sheath is PU leather, which looks and feels decent but “leather” is a misnomer for anything made of Polyurethane in my opinion. Basically, it’s “simulated” leather, but still fair quality in terms of look, finish and durability. As stated in the title, nice little starter hatchet for anyone interested in bushcraft, camping, etc. The “Viking” style blade is nice for camp chores for firewood and general bushcraft.

Sturdy and strong, great all around
The hatchet is sturdy and has good weight to it. Smooth wood handle with no splinters or chips. The hatchet head looks sturdy so far and has done fine in cutting smaller kindling wood and splitting medium lumber. The sheath is a nice touch and makes storage safe and easy. It even comes with a sharpening stone and two extra metal wedges if the head of the hatchet starts to come lose. Overall I think this would be a great tool to keep in an your camping accessories or in your tool shed. It gets the job done.

Not what I was hoping for
I know it's a lower priced hatchet but I truly got a lemon! The head is very insecure. The edge is inconsistent and will take a lot of work to even out the bevel and sharpen properly. The lanyard hole is drilled at an angle, and way too large? The only thing without an issue is the sheath. Maybe the new guy made this one, on a monday. The only reason I even gave it a 3 score is the price. I'm really disappointed.

Trash
It's very loose. The head is wobbly. I wouldn't trust using this. It feels like it will break with one hit.

Perfect for my camping box 🪓
The media could not be loaded. This is perfect for my camping boss. Such a great size hatchet it came super sharp and how sheath. The handle wasn’t finished show you can oil at waxing or stain it if you’d like. And even came with a sharpening stone. All in all it’s exactly the hatchet I was looking for for my camping box.I hope this review and photos are helpful.

Solide Axt

Klein,robust, passt in jedes Outdoorgepäck
The media could not be loaded.
