Great for my portable solar setup
Works well. Makes getting the most available solar onto my panels and into my power station quick and easy all day.

It is a good value
It works as intended. It is inexpensive and a lot better than just guessing if a solar panel is at the right angle.

delivery
I had received a prior package that had been empty but the correct package was delivered later. Great lttle unit for aligning my solar panels!

Cheap and too small.
Also, no written instructions 🤔

A real necessity if you want to squeeze the most out of your portable solar panels
Until I watched an instructional video a few months ago I wasn't aware that these devices existed. But now that I am aware I recognize that they can mean the difference between being able to recharge a solar generator while the sun shines, or ending the day with only a partial charge.Solar panels are already limited in their conversion of sunlight into electrons. It isn't uncommon for manufacturers to boast about a 23% conversion rate! And that is converting the available light into useable power, so if it's cloudy or if the panels aren't pointed directly at the sun (which is tough as the sun relative to the earth is constantly moving) you're getting a small fraction converted of a small amount of sunlight. This device at least allows you to boost the incoming number by ensuring that your panels are not only facing directly at the sun at any given time, but also at the best angle. Just clip this to the top of one the panels and then move the panels until the small black dot (which is just a tiny shadow) is centered on the device's scale. Once you achieve that you can rest assured that your panels are at the very best alignment possible so you are maximizing their output.Of course you cannot just "set it and forget it," though. Since the sun's position in the sky is always changing you'll want to revisit the placement of your panels once in a while. I recommend hourly, although that really depends upon your needs. If you need to maximize output you'll want to check more often, but if you really can get by on just a trickle of electrons you might set it up and only check it every few hours.Without one of these you are left guessing whether panel placement is optimal or not, and I can say from experience that just because your panels look like they are maxing out on power output doesn't mean that they are. Even a very small adjustment can boost output tremendously. And this will give you that ability to maximize that output. After all, isn't that what you anticipated when you got the panels in the first place?
