I use this on my RV to save the hose attachment. So far it has worked well. It made it through the deep freeze here in the Pacific Northwest without breaking. I used a heated hose and did not have to worry about the connection.

The hose bib at the front of my house is a standard faucet that has two flaws. It is too close to the ground and it is too close to the metal siding where it exits the wall. At lease twice a year, I have to coerce a stiff, unyielding hose to allow me to screw/unscrew it onto or off of the faucet that is too close to the ground. In the process of wrestling with it, I nearly always sacrifice some skin to the gods of siding. I saw this thing and had an epiphany. Angels were singing the hallelujah chorus in my brain (that might have just been tinnitus and blood pressure issues). Either way, it works! My wife said; “Why did you point it this way? I have a 55 gallon rain barrel that I use as my chickens' waterer. This works perfectly, allowing for a downward hose bib, which I then have a Y adapter attached to. I wanted something lead free, since my girls will be drinking from it. My only concern is durability, and time will tell on that.

Our outdoor faucet was installed in an awkward location just a few inches above the ground and barely clear of the house siding. Always difficult to get a hose connected and even more so when I wanted to add a splitter. The 90° elbow made enough clearance to make to connections easier.

Purchased to hook up and outdoor inline water filter on an RV. Haven't used it as yet but I'm sure it will fit the bill.
