Encyclopedia of Monograms: Over 11,000 Motifs for Designers, Artists, and Crafters

The only reason I don't give this book 5 stars is that because I am not a graphic designer I don't know how much practicul use it is; however, that observation aside, as a collector I love, love this book. For monogram/initial nuts it is page after page of eye candy. My artistic talents are limited to rubber stamping since it doesn't involve drawing and I can use markers or pencils to enhance my "creations." Who knows? I may even tackle the task of actually trying to recreate my monogram with pen and ink.

Beautiful monograms, but I wish they had individual letters too instead of combined monograms. Sometimes you just want the one letter, folks. Maybe in v.2??

I think this is a fabulous reference book for monograms from A-Z. Mostly Victorian 2, 3 and 4 letter monograms of various styles from that era.I bought this book a year ago and I still have it in my tote bag today.

I was hoping for more but I had all of the Monograms in this collection form other sources. If you do not have an extensive collection of Monogram references it is a good buy BUT as a hand engraver and a Stationery Engraver I have see everything in this before many times. A little bummed out.

This is an interesting collection of images but, as images, they have very little use. They are poorly reproduced on low quality paper, so are unsuitable for scanning to incorporate into artwork.

Cuenta con una amplia cobertura de monogramas para cada letra del alfabeto muy legibles en fin es una excelente referencia

Tres bon livre. Reçu tres rapidement. Il est parfois difficile de dechiffrer les monogrammes sur les couverts en argent. Nul doute qu’il va beaucoup m’aider à déterminer les initiales. Ce livre va certainement devenir indispensable pour moi.
