Lasts well and gerbils love it
Much better than card hideouts, kept mine homed for over a year. They still chew on it but it but they can't destroy it like every other hideout.

I love and so does my hamster
This is a really good product that my Syrian hamster really likes using. There have been some bad reviews about this product so here are some answers to questions:1. Will my hamster fit?Dwarfs definitely will, and any average Syrian should be able to. Unless your hamster is particularly large they should be able to fit!2. Are there any sharp flakes of wood poking out on the surface? There’s no guarantee there won’t be any, there were a few pieces I had to pick off but after that it was fine!3. Is it too big? This is definitely debatable. It depends how big your hamster’s enclosure is. We had to take out a hideout she already had in there and replace it with this one to make space but it’s not crowded in there. If it is, you can always put their wheel on top as long as it doesn’t hit their roof. If your enclosure is just over the minimum of 450 square inches then I wouldn’t buy. She has just over 800 square inches in there and it is the biggest thing in there but it’s not too crowded. (Remember hamsters like semi-crowded cages)! But if you have something like a Linnmon or Detolf this will not be a problem. I would say you can buy if the enclosure is over 600 square inches. I don’t know for sure though so if it doesn’t fit or makes it too crowded you can use it for free roaming! It shouldn’t be too big though hopefully.I really like that this hideout has different chambers so it’s not just a big area with a roof. It also has two entrances/exits! My hamster loves to run through the first entrance, go through the chambers and exit as quickly as possible and poke her little head out! You can also easily lift the lid to clean it but I haven’t really needed to. Just don’t lift the lid when your hamster is sleeping in there so you don’t disturb them! I fill the chambers with a wooden floor with bedding for her.I don’t know if anyone’s hamster sleeps in there, but mine has made burrows next to and leading into the hideout and just enjoys going in there to feel safe and have something to do. She stands on the roof a lot! Also this was quite a long review but hopefully it was helpful!

does what it’s supposed to do
the quality isn’t great, the roof wobbles when my hamster stands on it, and there is visible glue all over it. other than that is is perfectly fine. if your hamster likes chewing wood i wouldn’t recommend this.

Comfortable and cute hideout for a Syrian hamster
The media could not be loaded. PROS:My little girl is very shy and has been loving her new home. I wanted a hideout without flooring but I've been finding the floor on the 2 middle rooms very helpful because it enables you to easily pick up any poop or food that the hamster leaves there. My little one uses the bigger room to store her food and sleep but also sleeps under the stairs sometimes (which doesn't have any flooring so she can burrow which she loves). I used 2 coats of plastikote to waterproof the interior of the hideout so that pee doesn't get absorbed by the wood and smell bad.My girl also uses the stairs and upper floor a lot, it's a great place to put her food dish and not have it full of bedding.CONS:I should say that this hideout was 1 or 2cm shorter than mentioned (for me that was good) and it had some wood unsticking from the house (a strip of wood from the top of the house). I used a bit of glue to put it in place. I also took the time to remove any sharp little pieces of wood from around the holes or on the walls/ceiling. Make sure you run your fingers through the whole house and get any sharp bits out because it doesn't come perfectly smooth everywhere.

Seems nice enough
Got this for my Syrian girl. She was a bit dubious at first, but soon settled in. I was unsure how she would get on with entering through the top hole and the holes within the maze. However, she’s managed with no issue whatsoever and she appears to enjoy the little compartments. The outside wood is a bit flaky, and some poor craftsmanship in terms of glue everywhere, and not the nicest of finishes. However, it’s for a hamster, and I don’t think she’s at all bothered about some messy glue. I would buy it again.

Great but not a fully finished product
Nice hidey house for my Syrian. He’s a big boy but he loves tight spaces so this was great for him. Makes cleaning a lot easier since he tends to sleep eat and pee in one place (this is not waterproofed though). A few recommendations to make this last:- The roof and entrance holes need to be sanded down to make it smooth. They have a few sharp points. Sanding paper is a few £ on amazon so doesn’t cost much.- This is not waterproof. Most hamsters tend to pee and poo where they sleep and Wood absorbs stuff like that really well. I’d recommend to buy a small tub of clear Plastikote and paint all of the inside, bottom and inside of the roof with it. This will make cleaning so much easier and is not toxic to pets.- Don’t put this flat against the cage floor. Add a few inches of substrate beneath so that the hamster has some room to dig and settle.
