Easy to use but be mindful that there's only .25 fluid ounces in this packet. Although I have not tested my water after using this, I can tell a difference for the better!

NOT a comprehensive RO system cleaner.
The manufacturer may want to chime in here, but according to the listing, it is to be used without most of the critical RO system components in place, including the filters and RO membrane. So, unless you are changing your RO membrane (which you normally don't have to change more often than once every 5 years), reinstalling the existing membrane after sanitization would immediately reintroduce bacteria to your system. Yes, bacteria get past and/or grow though the sediment and carbon filters and deposit on the upstream side of the RO membrane, and bacterial film can also creep along the plastic surfaces of the tubing, valves and housings from the waste and the RO faucet, to the pressure tank, and finally to the downstream side of the RO membrane. Without a means to sanitize a used RO membrane in place, the only way to properly sanitize the entire system is to trash your perfectly good RO membran every time you change your sediment and carbon filters. Assuming you change the sediment and carbon filters once every 6 months, that means you end up paying 10 times more for RO membranes than necessary. There are reagents that can be used to sanitize RO membranes in place, over and over again. They use them all the time in pharmaceutical-grade water purification systems.

Sterilizes the R. O. System well to make wonderful water.
Be sure to remove the filter media then add Sanistem and all to sit so it per forms it's function. Be sure to remove filter membrane as well. The water will have a great taste after a flush of your filter.
