Can't really notice the padding
These are nice padded shorts that you can wear when go snowboarding. I would recommend this for a little protection without the bulkiness. You can't really tell you have this on under your clothes. I would say these are true to size but I would probably size up to be a little bit more comfortable.

Fits well and comfortably, good padding
I got this for my husband who is beginning snowboarding. He decided to play runway model and take a silly modeling picture.I was a little worried from the chart that it would be too small, but if fits both him and me. It’s nice and stretchy and comfortable. The padding is in important strategic places. Some of my hardest falls snowboarding have been hitting the tailbone, rather painful. So I really like the orange pad in the center rear. The pads are thick enough to make a difference, and slim enough to fit under most snow pants (unless you wear yours fairly tight).Overall very nice product, I’m happy he’ll have this and be spared some of the growing pains of learning to ride. Nicely built and nice looking, but the price seems a bit high at $79, I hope the workers making this are getting amazing working conditions.

Solid Protection Without Bulk
I have looking for tailbone protection while snowboarding that was not super bulking. I have tried some products that are thicker but they are bulky under the ski pants, uncomfortable, and make sitting on the chairlift awkward.I gave these a shot and have been much happier. They soften the blows without being to thick that they become awkward to wear. My only negative is that I wish the middle tailbone pad came up a bit higher on the shorts to offer a bit more coverage. Other than that, I won't be caught snowboarding without these.

Saves your tailbone!
This is great for snowboarding if you tend to fall on your behind. They definitely save your butt some pain from falling. It's also an extra barrier against the cold snow when you sit down to rest. You definitely need to make sure that you pull the padding up all the way or it wont work right. Also keep in mind that you might need to go up a pants size in your snow pants with this on or it will inhibit your movements.

Seems pretty good
Generally, I would wear a M in shorts, but I got the L in these since I didn't want them to be too tight. They fit pretty perfectly, so I'm glad I got the size larger. I got these for skateboarding on ramps, and so far I haven't fallen on my hip, so I can't give the perfect review of how they act under actual conditions. I did try and 'fake' fall a bit and they definitely protect my thigh better than not having them. Still, I think there could be at least one improvement. The pads are pretty hard. Having some sort of gel or softer layer under the pads (closer to the body) would probably help to reduce the impact overall.

Very good for ice hockey, waist band material is a bit slippery.
I tried it out this weekend and found the waistband isn't terribly grippy so I ended up having to wear it under the pants because otherwise it would shift. The size was also a bit larger around the waist than the sizing chart would indicate (I'm on the upper end of the chart and the thighs were fine but the waist felt a bit loose) Otherwise the padding is almost unnoticeable and took a serious drop to the ice.All in all, great pads, if you're on the smaller end of the chart I'd recommend considering a size down.

Useful
It is a good product, I was expecting the cushions to be a little bit more soft. They are quite sturdy. Maybe they could be thicker.Anyways regarding falls, it does help with some overall extra protection and it’s funny as it gives you some extra confidence while trying to go the extra mile with your snowboard / ski.Putting this on are very straightforward and when wearing snow pants, one can barely notice those are under it.

Accident prone..
I have an accident prone daughter who wanted to try rollerblades.. I got her knee and elbow pads, but she’s thin and I remember falling a lot when I was learning and these would’ve been a blessing.. so I told her we’d get her a bigger pair of pants and she could wear these underneath.. she was excited but they’re a bit too big.. so I don’t know what I’ll do now.. maybe by spring she’ll have grown enough to fit them.. I thought I got the size she would need, but either she got smaller or these are designed to fit bigger.. either way, they’ll protect her bottom while learning as long as we can keep them up..
