I'm "SHOCKED"
But not in the dangerous way. Finding a wall wart above a 3A rating is rare, really rare. And this item had no reviews to make a judgement call. So, I figured I'd be the guinea pig and try one. I had my doubts that it could actually deliver 3A or more without overheating, but I was pleasantly surprised. Stunned, really! I hooked up to my Vapcell S4 Plus li-ion charger and popped in four depleted 21700 cells and set it to charge at 2.5A per cell. So it was drawing right around 4A from the power supply, or 80% of its capacity. I never run any power supply at its full capability. I try to stay at 60-75% max of their maximum rated output. They run much cooler and last far longer. Running them at their maximum output is a sure way to kill them quickly, and it's dangerous too. Anyway, the power supply eventually started to warm up (about 25-30 minutes in) and after 40-45 minutes it stopped getting any warmer. It wasn't hot for sure! It wasn't even what I would consider very warm. It was just warm to the touch. Less warm than I expected it to be. So I'm happy to say I have no regrets with the purchase, in fact I ordered another. It has the UL certification on the label, and it has a class VI efficiency rating. So, if you don't want the brick style power supply, this is an excellent alternative.

Perfect for a powered USB hub
I bought this power supply to upgrade the one powering my 7-port USB hub. The original power supply it came with was 12V/4A/48W, and I constantly had problems with sudden voltage drops caused by power overdraw. This 12V/6A/72W is a perfect solution, and I’ve had no issues since replacing the old one with it.
