Quite the Funky Read, Wisdom included
Ben Askren impresses me on many levels. As an athlete, a fighter, a wrestler, and most importantly, a man. The way he’s dealt with the adversity in his life and career is an example to all men. He’s never shy about facing up to his defeats, and sharing a level of wisdom that we can all learn from. A superb book.

Exactly what you would expect
I love that this book is written exactly the way Ben Askren speaks. He keeps it real, but has some fantastic words of wisdom and advice to offer. Great book for the wrestling fan in your life!

A great peek inside the mind
Great book, to the point and doesn't take itself too seriously. A lot like Ben's persona himself. Takes a walk through Ben's life from his beginnings in athletics up until his most recent foray into celebrity boxing. It's enjoyable as a fight and wrestling fan, especially the chapters on Attitude & Psychology, which I think are Ben's most impressive attributes that set him apart from the rest.

Shallow and uninteresting
Megalomanic. Shallow and uninteresting. Dude needs therapy. Has a bad case of ‘I Love Me.’ For a guy that doesn’t like excuses, he sure makes a lot of them. Check this one out from the library. Not worth the list price.Btw, maybe should have put the thesaurus down and paid more attention to the edits.P. 65 - 6th place in the Worlds? Gotta make the team to place.P. 91 - Medved of Bulgaria?!? Ummm, seriously?First picture page - bottom left… age 3? Age 2-3 growth spurt was epic.
