The Jazz Harmony Book (Piano Solo with Free Downloadable Audio)

Easily the best book about harmony in the jazz context I have read. Everything is organized in a way that makes it really easy to grasp. However, do take into account that you will probably have to work through this book at the piano but any amount you invest into this book is given back tenthfolds.

If you’re looking to gain a better understanding of harmony (jazz in particular) and broadening your understanding of how to implement different chord progression in a wide range of harmonic situations, this book is for you.

Systematic approach. From basic to advanced. Highly recommended.

This music book has lots of graphics including musical notation, but only the pure text was readable. Any graphics came out as strange characters like little squares, asterisks, percent signs etc. Hence, it is unusable on my Lenovo Android Tablet / Kindle app, so I returned it immediately & got a refund (Thanks, Amazon!).

I play jazz guitar and I apply the harmony concept with my musical instrument. I understand that I can use my 10 fingers to voice sound on the piano, so I have to apply the harmony concept with my 4 fingers on the fret. This book comes with no CD, but I can download it smoothly from the shermusic.comI have a lot of thing to learn from this book. Hope that my skill is leveled up.

Contents are carefully organized. Language and examples are accessible so those with a basic knowledge of harmony will find it easy to follow.

Nel caso venisse pubblicata l altra mia recensione chiarisco....il libro e' arrivato senza dischi ma ho appena realizzato che l audio puo' essere scaricato online. 5 stelle ed un piccolo appunto ad amazon. Aggiornate la descrizione o implementatela con una foto dove sia ben visibile la dicitura riguardante l audio

voila un excellent livre extrêmement détaillé et très pédagogique .l'auteur est un professeur dans une grande école Américaine, et cela ce voit.le travail accompli ici est juste Enorme !!! vous êtes ici dans un vrai Cours.les chapitres leçons sont très progressifs et les explications très nombreuses et précisesce livre est un must !! il y a tellement de livre sur le sujet qui sont soit illisibles soit inutiles parce que manquant de contenu, celui ci est vraiment Super je le conseil vivement !!! ah j'oubliais il est écrit en anglais . mais bon, même avec un petit niveau d'anglais, je vous assure qu'il est beaucoup plus clair et utile que bon nombres de bouquins en français qui aiment bien rendre les choses simples compliqués .... ici c'est juste l'inverse cet à dire de la Pédagogie.
