This cake is adorable and arrived with no chips or paint defects. What I didn’t know is that not everything is 100% wood—as the candles, server and whip topping dollops are all plastic. If you’re in the all-wood, zero plastic camp, this isn’t the set for you. The cake pieces are a bit challenging to remove as it gets re-stuck to the other side while cutting, and the Velcro is pretty strong. You almost have to pry it out with your hands, so I can definitely see this being a bit frustrating for a young toddler. It is cute however and I know would make a fun gift for my toddler’s upcoming 3rd birthday.

My girls love playing dress up and tinkertoys and kitchen. This little tray full of wooden desserts is a favorite at our house. They love the tiny treats and have a great time playing with them.

This is a super cute set, but I dropped one of the cupcakes the first day when setting it up and the top broke off.... It's easily fixable but still a bit of a bummer. Regardless, the treats and stand are really cute and look well made, and my kids love playing with this.
