The Health Fix: Transform your Health in 8 Weeks

Easy to read and motivational
This book engages the reader with an easy to follow approach to looking at their lifestyle and making changes that will improve their overall health. To some extent your health is down to genetic fortune, but with many of the so-called non-communicable diseases like diabetes and Alzheimers there are opportunities to “stack the deck” in your favour. Dr Ayan is not preachy and his manual manages to be an easy read whilst conveying a wealth of practical information. There is a section at the back for implementing the lifestyle changes that’ll improve your own health. I applaud this book for being concise, practical and yet remaining entertaining whilst it informs.

Easy to read and good information
I wish my GP’s would read this. The book is easy to understand and can help sort out our on problems as going to my GP is virtually impossible as they don’t have time to see me these days. To get an appointment would be a three week wait even for a telephone appointment.

Worth reading for everyone
I came across Dr Ayan Panja via Dr Rangan Chatterjee and always thoroughly enjoy their podcast conversations. I’ve also listened to Ayan’s podcast and found him to be very easy to listen to. The same goes for his book. It was extremely easy to read - even some of the deeper medical terminology and explanations - and I read it within a day, which is pretty much unheard of for me. I’ve already written my own health prescription as it became very obvious where my greatest area of opportunity was once I’d written out my average day.I’ve listened to lots of podcasts in the lifestyle medicine space so wasn’t expecting to learn lots of new things - although I still did - but the ‘health fix’ method was the real eye-opener. Personally I’m going to start small with just two simple changes and then see how the ‘drawstring effect’ comes into play.

Nothing new sadly
I am one of those people with long term underlying niggles and I thought this book might give me some pointers but sadly it just says the same as all the other books I’ve tried eg Rangan Chattergee and Tim Spector. Sensible advise that I’ve always followed - sleep and eat well, don’t eat junk food, exercise and try to manage your stress. These books always give you such hope at the start; that they may have that gem that you have been searching for but unfortunately not this one.

great, logical, easy to follow advice
I first heard Dr Ayan on Dr Chatterjee’s podcast whilst out walking my dogs, and found him very interesting and knowledgeable, and with a particular interest in health coaching I decided to purchase the book. This book is great at pulling together well known science, into easy to follow models for understanding your health and what influences it.

Absolutely brilliant book - easy and enjoyable to read and full of practical tips that really work!
Dr Ayan Panja is a simply fantastic doctor with almost 25 years clinical experience. This book has the potential to help everyone who reads it. It will help readers uncover what factors are driving their current health status and allow them to work out which specific changes are the right ones for them to make. I highly recommend this book!

Great book
What a well written book. I particularly enjoyed the patient stories. There were some useful themes to take away backed but evidence, but also Dr Panja comes across with a sense of realism in that people are different , giving advice on how to tackle these issues we face in a personalised way.Particularly at the start of a New Year, the book gives thoughtful space for making health a priority to build everything else around.

The best book on healthy lifestyle
Really easy to read and easy to apply in practice. Gives the tools to understand what's wrong in one's lifestyle and how to adjust it to improve well-being. Absolutely recommend for those struggling with their body despite all the medical tests coming back clear.
