Check your bottle if you’ve already ordered. Unfortunately the bottle I received can be easily opened WHEN locked by pressing down firmly on the lid and unscrewing, just as you would a prescription bottle (granted you have to press harder than normal, but still take caution). The person I intended to keep meds away from was repeatedly able to get into the bottle this way regardless of the combination set. Definitely bummed

If I could give 0 stars I would, these bottles are not lockable... sure they have a combination, but if you push down on the lid and turn, they come open regardless of the combination! I bought two of these bottles and they both do it, so it's not a random fluke. Do not buy if you want a locking pill bottle!

I love this. The combination is easy to set The combination can only be changed by 1st knowing the original combination. My husband used to occasionally steal my Vicoden I'm prescribed for multiple sclerosis. He'd lie to the heavens he hadn't stolen any pills. Just 2 or 3 here or there. He knows better than to take my whole bottle of pain pills, so he'd take a couple pills here and there and lie thru his teeth saying he hadn't taken any. It wasn't something I was willing to end a 25 year marriage over, so I bought this product. I have NOT lost a pill since I purchased this product. Thank you.

Top does not lock unless you tighten the cap and turn the tumblers. The bottle is soft plastic and was easily cut to remove medicine. I used some plumber epoxy putty and coved the sides of the bottle. Now the bottle is as hard as a rock. Please see picture.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I have noticed lately that my bottle doesn’t seem to want to open when I put my code in. Blaming myself I would just retry and it would work. Today I discovered that it doesn’t matter what code you put in, all you have to do is separate the lid from where it sits on the bottle and ANY CODE WILL WORK! Complete fail and disappointment. I bought this so my paid meds would be safe and thought they were just to discover I was wrong the entire time.

I bought this product to keep my pain meds safe from a family member who has narcotic addiction problems. The very day I used it, he broke into it in less than 30 minutes. I looked it up online and, sure enough, it’s as easy as opening a childproof cap on a medicine bottle. I was able to bypass the lock myself the first time with no tools or any special knowledge. Huge waste of money.

Worked pretty well until, during a manic phase, she smashed off the top. So it might be effective for weak children, but I'll have to rely on the safe.Also, if you scramble the combo before you replace the lockcap, it does not lock.

This product does not make your medications safe. I followed the instructions meticulously and it never worked to secure my medications. No matter the combination code that I set, pushing on the cap and unscrewing and it would come right off every time. I do not recommend this product for securing medications.
