A Must if Using Copper Solvents
When using brass slotted patch holders and copper solvents, I could never tell if there was still copper in the barrel, or if the copper in the brass was distorting the results. These inexpensive holders s are cost effective, but strong enough to stand up to many cleaning sessions; and, the patches come out clean when copper is actually gone from the barrels.

Plastic no worry of damage to the gun barrel rifling. But brass is the way to go.

You get what you pay for....IF you're careful.
I should not have purchased it. Plastic breaks too easy so both of them broke while I was cleaning a rifle. Should have looked closer and purchased the brass one.
