Surprisingly small but powerful battery pack, easy to carry, works well with certain solar panels.
I actually use this battery for home uses every day. I have been trying to find a way to spare my electric bill and this does the job pretty well so long as you have the right solar panels. This does work with certain solar panels that have the right output. It actually charges pretty well. If you live in California, this is a definitely much as fire season is coming up (again). This battery is great in case of that power going out. This is surprisingly not as big of a battery as many others of this caliber. It is still big but definitely lighter and easier to store. That being said, it is still on the heavy side. I would say this is about the size of lunch pale. Because of its size, it is very easy to store and packs a good amount of power in case of emergency. This one arrived at 50 percent charge (three bars). I did plug it in to charge it over night to full which is what I recommend when you get this. After I drained it, then I started using solar to charge it for daily use. With that being said, this is definitely a good device to have to keep a few things power during the shut off. This by no means has enough power to power your entire house but gives you the needed power for certain things. For me, I could use this to keep my mini fridge on so I can keep certain things cold. On a daily though, I just use it for powering my laptop at night as well as my lamp. It is a great way to stay off the grid if you are using solar panels (portable). When testing it to see what it can power, it actually has enough power to power a small mini fridge for several hours to keep your perishables in good shape. That being said, this is for a SMALL fridge. I do not know if it has enough power to power a big one. That being said, it is a great thing to have if you are trying to keep certain medications cold during outages. It does have a carrying a handle so if you want to be on the go more like taking this on a camping trip you have that capability. The carrying handle is not one of those pull out handles so it is very sturdy and you do not have to worry too much about it breaking. The casing is also pretty thick so you do not have to worry about it breaking or cracking. I would not recommend throwing this on the ground or dropping it regardless. It does however get easily dirty with the color. The yellowing started to lighten up on the side that is in the sun. Although it says it is a solar battery, It does not come with solar panels so unfortunately you are not going to be charging this device with the sun. If you do have solar panels however that can charge big devices like these then you can charge it that way. I have a strong portable solar panel and it works pretty well at charging this device but definitely slower than your average wall plug. It could take a day or two (depending on your panel) to charge it to good levels, but free power for this device. It does come with other cables provided to charge the device directly from the wall or your car even but not directly to your solar panel. It does have a built in fan to keep the internal components cool during use. It will only turn when charging another device. The fan is not super loud or anything. From what I can tell it utilizes a power brick to charge and a car outlet, it does not trigger the fan. It has a good length to the cable so you do not have to have it sitting right next to the outlet. You can use the battery while it is being charged. It does have a built in flash light on it so you can have flash light for those power outages as well. The flash light is surprisingly BRIGHT. I was actually wondering where it was and it is one the opposite side of the battery indicator screen. It is directional lighting. It has an LCD screen to show power levels down to the percentage. You have several different options including two USB, one USB QC port, one type c ,two DC, and two AC ports (one two prong, one three prong). I normally just use one AC port for my laptop. The AC port does require another button to turn on over the other devices. If you only need USB ports, you can do not have to turn on the AC port. It is a nice way to conserve power. The type c port is strong enough to charge my macbook but you need to make sure you have the right cable. In terms of charging, you can easily charge your tablet and phone several times over before this battery pack dies. I tried it for about two weeks and it charge my phone several times before needing to be recharged. Please note that I was using the device while it was charging so it could be more times. The fast charging did detect on my phone when I was plugged in so that was nice. I also used this to power my laptop for a few hours which is nice. I do not recommend plugging a surge protector into this to get more power ports as I do not know if it will damage it or anything. You have two plugs so you can easily plug in two different devices as needed. The plug is meant to really only power one strong device or two relatively medium size device. This does come with ability to plug this device into your car battery to charge it as well if you need to which is a plus if you are taking this on the road with you. What is nice is that the device can be used while plugged in and charging so you do not lose a plug while charging this device. I do not recommend just having it plugged in and charging for long periods of time as that can damage the battery due to overcharging. In terms of sound, it does have a built in fan for cooling and a vent to vent the hot air. It turns on automatically when you power it on and charge other devices. It does not power on when you have it plugged in to be charged. It is not too noisy so I was not really bothered by it. It does not seem to rev up either while the device is in use as the device does not get very hot. Overall this battery is really nice. It gives you all the power you will need to charge your phone, laptop, and power a small appliance during an outage. It is also small in size making it very easy to store. There is also a nice power switch so you can switch the LED light on easily or the AC ports. I am VERY happy with the LED light which is very powerful and bright. The size is very portable making it easy to store and take with you on the go. This is great for emergencies.

solid and reliable power station for backup power around the hosue
The media could not be loaded. I have several power stations. Lipower Mars-1000 Pro is my second 1000Wh+ power station that I am testing out for my father. His house had a few power outages during pass summer and he saw I have Ecoflow Delta Mini and Delta 2 as a temporary backup for my refrigerator. He asked me to find a similar but more simple power station for him so my parent does not have to worry about the food in the fridge for next power outage. Mars-1000 pro is very similar to Delta 2 which both uses LiFePO4(LFP) battery cells for power storage. Reviews will have some comparison between the 2 models.LFP battery is becoming more popular in power stations from large to small models. Compare to the older NCM battery, LFP battery is more stable compare to NCM batteries. It can work at a higher temperature and not risk of explosion and fire. It also has longer charged cycles, 3000+ times for LFP vs 500-800 times for NCM, to 80% of capacity. For LFP battery if you charge every day, it will take almost 10-year to wear down the battery to about 80% of the capacity. Couple advantages for NCM battery are it is cheaper to make and are lighter than the LFP.Mars-1000 has slightly higher capacity than Delta2 and also bigger and heavier. Delta2 seems to be a little easier to move around with smaller physical profile. Lipower has 3 pure sine wave AC outlets vs Delta2’s 6 outlets. For home use, I have hard time trying to have 6 electronics to plug into the power station. I feel 3-4 outlets is plenty. Mars-1000’s inverter is 1200W with max surge of 2000W. Delta2 is capable of 1800W and surge of 2700W. Here Delta2 is a winner. But around the house, I have run many electronic devices with Lipower. I use it to power my portable car fridge during weekend, run a small heater in a small room, even use it to cook with a 1200W induction stove top. One thing I have not try is to run a 12000btu portable AC unit. Mars-1000 Pro’s 2000W power surge should be able to handle it. But my dad will be using it to run his refrigerator. High power surge capacity is not needed.Mars-1000 Pro only has 200W DC input and Delta2 has 1100WDC input. Delta2 is a winner here. But in non-emergency situation, most people agree that they would charge the battery at the slowest speed possible to retain battery capacity. At a faster charging rate, there is more heat created and degrades the battery faster. Also at high charging rate, Delta2 fan is loud and can be annoying.Another thing that Mars-1000Pro does not have is the phone app. But ever since I installed the Ecoflow app, I have only used a handful of times. For my father, the lack of a phone app is insignificant. It helps to avoid confusion..After a month-long testing, I find Lipower Mars-1000 Pro user friendly and reliable. It is ready to hand off to my father so he may be at ease during the next blackout. 5-star for Mars-100 Pro power station.
