Decent USB 3.0 charging cable.
I needed a longer charging cable for my phone as 3 metres wasn't enough for various purposes, and this was great. 5 metres in length is very good and met my needs, allowing a long stretch from the charging port to my bed, and I can walk around with it without worrying the length will tug me back. The cable quality is good and being a braided cable, I was pleased because they tend to be more durable.Supports faster charging, which is great if you're in a rush to charge your phone quickly, however, it is only a USB 3.0 charging cable, therefore not the fastest. On price, £16.99 for a charging cable is quite expensive, and although 5 metres long, it is unfortunately only a USB 3.0 cable, so even though it has a braided cable, which I like, this isn't the best option in my opinion.

Fine for data and VR, poor for charging though
The media could not be loaded. The video goes into much more detail, including full, comprehensive testing with some surprising results. However, in a nutshell:Things I liked:+ The cable itself is indeed 5m long and feels well made. It's braided and fairly flexible - great for connecting to a VR headset.+ The data transfer performance was absolutely fine. It is working at the advertised 5Gbps speeds, very suitable for VR.Things I didn't like:- Charging performance was absolutely all over the place. Some devices charged at 7.7V (?), others charged at 5V 0.5A. Charging performance was pretty poor, to be honest. See the video for the full testing.Do I recommend it?For data transfer, it's fine. For charging, it's not. For VR, it'll do the job fine but it won't deliver much charge to your headset as far as I can tell. If the price is right and you're not bothered about charging performance, go for it.

Top quality 5m cable
The quality of this cable is great with top manufacturing that makes the cable thick and strong and the plug ports solid and sturdy. This type C cable is suitable for most devices using type C charging and it supports fast charging but I'm not sure what wattage this cable can support as this isn't stated.Suitable for a variety of VR headsets but can also be used for charging a mobile phone. I have got this one for the mother in law who's just had a major operation and needed a longer cable to keep her phone charged up without her having to move unnecessarily and as the plug is a way away from her bed this cable overcomes the difficulty she had in charging her phone whilst remaining in bed to recover from her op.This is the 5m version but the seller also has 3m and 6m available too.The price is good too for this quality and length of cable being £15.99 at time of review which is very reasonable in my opinion. If you're after a long type C cable then this is a very good choice and is well made.

Cheap, good quality, no complaints
This is a very generic product, so there’s not much to say about it.This cable is priced at £15.99, which is very reasonable given its length. It comes in pretty standard cheap packaging that gives little protection to the product. The cable itself is well made with good moulding and smooth connectors. It is easy to insert and remove, but stays in place perfectly, which is of course important for my use (Oculus headset).. The cable is flexible and has a braided finish, which should extend its lifespan. In testing it fulfilled all the claimed specifications. When connected it charges my Quest while in use, although not enough to stop it draining eventually. It’s as good as any other cable I’ve tried in that respect.I have seen identical cables selling for twice the price (in fact I bought one a couple of years ago), so this is a real bargain. Recommended.

Decent VR Headset link cable - works well with Meta Quest 2.
This is a link cable for connecting a VR headset to your PC - I use it with my Quest 2. It's quite a good one, too. It's not a charging cable. The Quest's battery will last a bit longer if it's plugged in, but it still runs down faster than this cable can charge it. That is completely normal for this type of cable, because the USB 3 port can't supply enough current to charge up the Quest while it's being used. You can get cables which will charge the quest while you use it, but this isn't one of them. It's also worth noting that you can't use your external battery pack (if you have one) while the cable is plugged in. To be completely honest, I'm usually ready for a break from VR long before the battery runs out.One end of the cable has a USB 3 'A' plug, and the other end has a right-angle USB 'C' plug. This brings the cable cleanly backwards along the horizontal headstrap of the Quest 2, keeping the cable out of the way and flat against the headset. I've got a halo-type strap on my Quest 2, and I secure the cable to it with the velcro-tie that came with the cable. I find it's most comfortable if I run the cable all the way around the back of my head so it's behind me, out of the way as I wave my arms around. The cable itself is thin and covered with a braided outer cover to protect it. I have several link cables, this is the least flexible of them, mainly because of that braided cover. The braiding also catches on my clothes so the cable doesn't slide easily when I move my head. This is a fairly minor criticism though, and the low price of the cable more than makes up for the minor inconvenience. The performance is fine. I used it to connect my Quest 2 to Sidequest, and it performed flawlessly. To be fair, that's not a very challenging test. I then played the VR mod of Half-Life 2, which is a fantastic game and a great test. Again, no issues whatsoever. The real test on my system is No Man's Sky, which is stunning in VR, but a bit of a drain on my RTX3070. Again, I had no glitches as I walked around my freighter base.A perfectly usable link cable for £16. Can't fault it at that price.
