Gin Gins are a must in my life for so many reasons I won’t get into. Recently, the smaller bags were either unavailable or the price kept going up. I decided to splurge and get the 11 lb bulk bag and I am so very glad I did! They arrived safe and sound in a thick Gin Gins box, inside an Amazon box (thank you for that!). The bag was sealed ( I opened it before taking the photo), and it has the expiration for the entire bag, which is 2025-They won’t last that long :-) I weighed the bag just for the heck of it and it tipped my 11 lb limit, so they definitely give you an accurate, if not generous, amount. They are delicious as always and I am so glad bulk is available here!! Will order again, hopefully in several months, if I can ration them!

I stumbled across these "chews" by accident and tried some since I love ginger-snaps and such and now love 'em. I eat them often after dinner to cleanse my palate and they are a zingy, super tasty ginger chew. Not sure about all the claims, but for me they're just a nice, natural treat. Great ginger flavor and spiciness. After going through numerous smaller size boxes, I went for the kill and got the bulk size (much cheaper). The quality of the product is high and while not cheap, it's worth it to me. Highly recommended!2011-03-25 update: One note: The wrapping of the chews in the box sets is much nicer, wax paper inner wrap and a nicely folded outer wrap. A classy wrap over all and it really adds to the "experience" -- these use a cheap plastic wrap instead. Same great chews on the inside, but harder to open and definitely not the same classy wrap and experience as the more expensive boxed chews.2012-04-26 Dropped my rating to 4 stars as over time the difficult wrappers became increasingly annoying. Simply too hard to open and remove, though they do seem to keep the product fresh.

The smaller bags were just getting more and more expensive and I figured we'll finish this one, one way or another so I just bought it. Love this candy for carsickness or even just when we eat something and the stomach doesn't feel right.

I love these things, they're great! I used to live where I could pick up a small bag of them every now and again, but I've moved somewhere where they aren't as accessible anymore. If you've never tried Gin-Gins, they're basically these sweet and spicy candies made with ginger and come in different flavors. A bit bigger than one of those Tootsie Rolls that you can find in practically any candy dish in the US, if you're looking for a good size comparison, they're about the consistency of taffy, I'd say. Keep them in a warmer environment (like your jeans pocket, for instance) if you want to make them warmer and more pliable, and I'd honestly warn a little bit against eating them when they're really cold, since it'd be like biting into one of the more solid hard candies that hurt to chomp down on. That said, they do have actual ginger in them, so beware the burn!I like to eat these whenever my stomach's hurting, whenever I'm feeling sick, or whenever I just want a little sweet, if anybody wanted a potentially unique suggestion or two.This flavor, if I had to describe it to somebody, is rather similar to a spicy apple cider. So, I guess it's kind of obvious why the flavor's called "spiced apple", huh? Also, for anybody that wants to know about the peanut flavor they also carry, it tastes very peanut-y (not like peanut butter but like the nuts themselves) and can make your breath smell like you ate a pencil. But it's also tasty!

I love these and order by the big 11 pound box to get the best price. It’s a yummy way to get my ginger and turmeric, just wish they would figure out how to make them with less sugar, but it’s candy so what can we do!

Love these so much I decided to go bulk and get the 11lb box as it was a great value...TOO good as it turns out because these don't compare to their retail sized packaged version...the signature crispy apple taste that adds a nice fruity snap to the ginger...is gone...don't know if it's because these are old or whatever...but whatever these are the one thing they AREN'T are the same GinGin apple ginger, if this was watches or memory cards, I'd say OK it's a knockoff shame on me for thinking I can score this k

When my coughing interfered with hearing a speaker, my friend introduced me to "Gin Gins Spicy Apple Chews". These taffy-like candies worked wonders to calm my cough and soothe my throat. Their spicy apple taste is a pure delight; the ginger has just enough "bite" to keep these from being simply another candy.Opening their wrapper is difficult, but definitely worth the trouble. You do need to resist chewing these candies unless you want to replace your fillings or crowns. Purchasing the 11-lb. package was more economical than purchasing the smaller 3-oz. bag and going together with several friends to purchase this amount made it feasible.

A little gummy, not the same texture as regular. Taste great but tongue turns yellow.
