It's perfect!
Because of where we live, we have a big issue with the tiny fruit flies. We have tried many products and solutions, but none come close to this thing. It just destroys them instantly. This is perfect, but I'd say a last resort in terms of in-door use. When anything hits it, it makes a very loud snap like a whip. But it's better than having flies in your house. If you're using it indoors I want to also mention that if a normal size fly gets in there it will electrocute it for up to 10 seconds, which will really stink up a room. So not great for smaller rooms, but maybe a kitchen or bathroom would be a more ideal spot.

Does the job
I ordered the Bug Zapper for my summer time fly issue. I have a small dog and small kids that are in and out the house. Which means flies come in too. I tried everything else. But the Bug Zapper was the most effective in luring the flies and then ZAP!!!! They are dead within moments of entering my home. I love it. I am no longer running around with a fly swatter. Plus, its a great night light. Instead of putting it on my porch, I placed it in my living-room. Its in a discreet location that blends with my decore. Its funny when you hear the frying of the bugs the first few times. It scared me the first time because I wasnt expecting it to work so quickly. It has caught my guest off guard. And they jump! We died laughing. Its worth the money. Buy it. Easy clean up. And it works.

Works good but no on/off switch.
I bought another brand of bug zapper and it was great but out of stock. I needed to deal with a second room so I bought a second zapper( this model). This one works too. I am getting rid of fungal gnats that are in my plants and normal traps don't work. Normal gnats can be trapped with apple cider vinegar traps. These gnats are smaller and live in dirt and don't go for cider traps. Tough bugs to get rid of.This zapper cuts down on the nuisance from them. I am using it indoors with no issue other than you have to clean up the ash. If you have these tiny black fungus gnats put hydrogen peroxide in the plant soil. It kills them without hurting the plant. Bottom line this bug zapper model works. It would be nicer if it had a longer cord and an on/off switch but it's reasonably priced. The tray on the bottom catches the ash and needs cleaned out once a week if it's still killing bugs.My unit arrived and I plugged it in and nothing. No light. I looked at the instructions and saw how the bulb can be replaced. (New bulbs are 10 bucks on Amazon.) My units bulb had fallen out of the 4 pin socket. I simply pushed the bulb back in the socket, plugged the zapper back into the outlet, and it worked. 2 mins to fix it. Which also means it will be easy to replace the bulb later on. Nice. This model is good and I do recommend it. I removed one star because the power cord is too short and the lack of an on/off switch. It's still a great product. Just incase they do get more stock of the better model here is the Amazon link:Adjrp Bug Zapper Outdoor Indoor, 30W & 4200V Powerful Fly Traps Outdoor, Fly Zapper Outdoor for Bugs Mosquitoes Gnats, Effective Mosquito Zapper for Patio Backyard and Home https://a.co/d/aupUhN9Either zapper works great. No issues. Recommend either one.

Great product
We bought this in July when mosquitoes were everywhere. I was nervous to leave it on at first, I thought it might start a fire while we slept (lol). We left it on 24/7 through September. It worked great, we kept it by our back door (like 2 ft from it honestly) and every evening we would twist the bottom off and feed the little bugs to the chickens. Alot of them were still half alive (the flies mostly) and the chickens loved that.At night it's bright so it attracts little moths and gnats, so it's probably not the best idea to have it by the back door but we did it anyway. I felt bad for the little moths lol.So we got used to hearing zaps from within our house lol. It would zap almost constantly, but it wasn't annoying..probably because I knew it was getting rid of those little buggers! It got dirty and gross, mostly from the moth dust and from us not cleaning it regularly oops. But it still worked great. We hung it to our awning with a zip tie and used a short extension cord so it would reach the outlet just below. The cord is short.Anyway, great buy!
