Died just after warranty. EDIT: see below NOT DEAD
I really liked it. Calibration easy, doesn't drift. But it started shorting out, the battery connection was off and on causing it to turn off and on with the slightest touch. Eventually fried itself.EDIT: Lucky, I didnt throw it away. I took another look at it and determined the short was due to something near where the batteries (2 AAA's) connect. Don't know how, but it's working fine now, I even knocked it around a little to see if it would disconnect again. It's just fine now!In the mean time I purchased a replacement from a competitor. Wow, makes me appreciate this one even more now. It had a removable cover, unlike this one that is attached by a hinge. I had to keep looking for the cover. Also, the auto shut-off on this unit is 5 mins, the competition was 3. That's important because (as I found out the hard way) if you use the Tare function (it zeros out the weight of item that is a container), the display will shut off and it looses the reading. If you didn't memorize it or write it down, it's gone. I was mixing liquids by weight, and turned my back for just over 2 mins and it went blank. This unit has a 5 minutes before it blanks. Also both units come with a calibration weight. This unit's is 50 grams and seats inside the unit. The competition I purchased uses a 100 gram weight that was separate from the unit due to its size.So after using a replacement scale from a different seller, seeing the better product by far was this one, and the fact it started working, I'm changing to 5 Stars,

Cheap but accurate
Display is clear and bright, and it seems accurate.Case and hinges are pretty cheap. The battery cover barely stays on, hinges/pins rattle around, and magnets in lid are absolute minimum spec to hold it upside down and not let the 50g mass fall out. If you keep it in a drawer, it should be fine, but I doubt this thing would last being travelled with. Auto-off works (default 3min), but cannot be changed as instructions say.Edit: seller did provide opportunity for a refund based on this review. Take that as you may... +1*

The weight is off often
I like it but it is off often and weights right when I weigh the weight

You get what you pay for.
I purchased this scale to use in bowery and other archery related crafts.Pros:1. Very accurate in the gn (grain) mode (used in archery)and it's others.2. Pocket sized for easy travel. Compact.3. The case has this bright orange color to it which makes it easy to distinguish from other tools.4. The lid uses two fairly strong magnets to remain closed. Plastic clips would most likely break.5. Good battery life.6. Easy to calibrate and a easy to read display.7. Includes calibration weight.8. The scale platform is elevated above sides and LCD screen. This allows me to weigh arrows which obviously do not fit lengthwise on the scale pad.9. Finally the price is great for what you are getting and the frequent emails for a review indicates to me that the company cares about their product. I appreciate that, greatly.Cons:1. Must be calibrated often. For me I must calibrate at every start up. A zero button would be nice.2. Some fade on the LCD screen when removing calibration weight or touched on sides and face. Makes me concerned about durability and/or longevity of LCD screen.3. Scale at times will have a negative weight when an object is removed. I did this 10 times with the calibration weight getting a different value more than half the time. If the weight is not perfectly centered accuracy becomes poor. I duplicated this by placing the weight in each corner including the center which provided me with different results. However, I found that letting scale warm up (+70 deg F) produced better results. This information is included in the instruction manual so read carefully before becoming frustrated.4. Hinges on lid have excessive play. Although the magnets hold the lid shut well I expect the hinges to fail at some point in time. As it is now the lid easily slides back and forth when closed.5. No moisture seal on lid or battery cover. I obviously do not plan to get my scale wet but batteries can corrode due to leaking gases looking for the nearest poles to ground themselves. This is normal and not a fault of the scale but the battery itself. In my opinion moisture will find the worn contacts and begin to rust creating a mess. Check a child's toy that has had batteries in it for more than 6 months or your car where the posts have no protection from moisture. There you may find rust and corrosion due to this effect.6. No scale conversion chart or weight definition included with manual. Naturally I can just get on a computer and find what ever conversion or definition that I may be looking for, but like some people I'm lazy with my research. I do not know what dwt means or how it is used, etc. But I didn't buy a chart I bought a scale, so I was hesitant to make this a con.The $20.00 question!Would I buy this product again or recommend it to a friend?Yes, I would buy it again:) I feel that I received a better product than what I paid for. Plus while shopping around I found that most comparable products bought from a store would cost me more if not twice as much, but with less quality.Recommending to a friend is also a happy yes as well. If a person were to keep this at work or a store front I see that there would be very few issues to speak of. If a person was in a more hostile environment, such as hiking, gold panning, etc then I would recommend a different and most likely more expensive scale. As a mechanic my opinion is that any tool performs best when applied correctly. On a side note, If Brifit would like to target (pun included) the archery community I would suggest Armin Hirmer from Malta Archery. He is well known and respected for his reviews on Youtube, Facebook, etc.Clay Hayes with CH Archery would be another.Search Youtube and you will find several. I personally don't know any of them but the archery community is bigger than some may think. We all use scales, even amatures like myself.ThanksKevin Vandenburg

Broken out of the box
Update: company reached out to make it right. Much better experience. Thank you.Couldn't use at all. Had ordered for a spare and was too late to retun. Cant even use. Not worth it.

Surprisingly accurate
Based on my cheap weight standards, it's 100% accurate at weights above 1g, and off by 1-or-2% at weights lower than that. Or my standards are off, which is equally likely. As with most digital scales, it doesn't like to move off zero. It seems the lowest weight it will realistically register is 0.03g, but it often won't move until 0.05g. Even if you put something on it first and tare out the weight. But if you put someone on it and *don't* tare out the weight, it'll register 0.01g; just do the math in your head. (I don't understand why, though.)I also really like the lid that encloses everything, from the scale plate to the buttons. All in all, this is better than I was expecting.

Spend the money else where to buy a more accurate scale
Likes:-easy to use-portable-has a protection cover-comes with a 50g weight to calibrateDislikes:-the repeatability is unreliable . It is different by .02 to .04 when you re-weight the say item

Excellent quality and great price
Super impressed with the quality of this thing at this price point. Accurate to 0.01g and holds its calibration. Unreservedly recommend.

Horrible scale
Scale is garbage. Never the same reading. If you can handle “close enough” then it’s alright. Would not buy again even for the price.
