After receiving and having to return several defective Buck folding knives, I decided to try the Qubit. The materials, fit, and finish on these knives are perfect and the blade is razor sharp and centered. The button lock action is smooth and effortless. The lack of a grippy surface on the scales is not an issue for me, as the Qubit feels great in-hand, regardless of how I hold it. Not sure that I'll ever use the bottle opener feature, but it's kind of cool to have it. Overall, a solid, well-made knife that is a versatile EDC. I also purchased the titanium clip which looks great and functions very well.

I recently lost my edc knife (a spyderco dragonfly 2 salt series) and was in the market for a new one. Unfortunately they don't make those anymore. I've heard great things about civivi, but never got around to buying one. After several coworkers who carry civivi knives vouched for them, I finally decided to give this brand a try. So far I am far from disappointed. They clearly have quality control down. The knife comes in a nice zippered case and razor sharp. Smooth and quick opening action. The button lock is a nice feature. Thin and lite, but sturdy. I barely remember it's clipped to my back pocket, which is deep carry btw. It gives more expensive knives a good run for the money. Definitely more bang for less of your hard earned buck. I was also recently gifted a civivi baby banter and I can't say enough good things about that one either. Needless to say, I've been made a fan of these knives.

Great creation by Civivi. This knife is perfectly engineered and built...it's an EDC dream. It's so light, flickable and fidgety. Blade is super slicey due to it's shape, size and grind of the 14C28N steel. Size is in the Goldilocks zone...not too big but not too small either. The button lock works flawlessly with no stick and the action is so smooth and buttery. The thin aluminum scales fit my hand and pocket so comfortably. Value is off the charts as it easily compares to some of the more expensive knives in my collection.There's not much bad to say about this knife. I would get rid of the 'bottle opener' only because I don't use it and don't care for the look of it when closed. And I also wish they had some other color choices. Those are the only nitpicks I can come up with but they are far from deal breakers.I usually have duplicates of the favorite knives in my collection and this is definitely one of my favorites. However I only have one because I don't find any of the other colors attractive. I have the all black version and it is spectacular. Now if they offered a titanium colored handle with a satin blade it would quickly be my second Qubit.

Found this knife brand on Amazon while I was looking for a cheap EDC. I own three so far and they do not disappoint! Strong, sturdy and stays sharp. I love the simple but cool look as well. Highly recommend. (FYI I’m usually a BUCKS guy)

Overall, this is a very nice knife for the price, and I enjoy carrying it. I couldn't say that the first few days of owning it, though. When I got it, it the action was very rough and the button lock was stiff with a metal against metal feeling. Plus, out of the box, it wasn't as sharp as I've come to expect from a new Civivi knife. Now that I've had it for about a week, lubricated it, and put it through it's action a few hundred times, it's very smooth. A few minutes of stropping the blade got it to a nice edge.The knife looks good and I love the blade shape - very useful and slices well as it's a thin blade. I'm a fan of 14C28 steel at this price - it's tough and though it won't keep an edge like more expensive power steels, it's easy to sharpen and the edge will last longer than most mid-range steels. Some complain the grip is too smooth, but really, this isn't a heavy-use knife and the finger guard is respectable. I wear large gloves and can grip with four fingers. It's very comfortable in the hand. The thumb studs are well-placed and not in the blade's cutting path.The only reason for not getting four stars - the button lock is good, but not great. When closing, it will occasionally not fully release. This is minor, but it's not as smooth as the button lock on the CJRB Pyrite. Still, an excellent knife, especially at this price, and I'm now glad I own it.

The media could not be loaded. I love my Qubit.Ergonomically it feels comfortable in the hand. Chokes up well on the finger choil, and I like how the jimping extends past the choil for a little bit so you can get a little more thumb control. As I've heard from some others, maybe the handle could have used some sort of etching or inlay to give it better grip. If you tend toward sweaty hands, maybe it'll be a bit slick. However, I find for most uses it's fine. It's about as light as I'd want a knife of its size to be.The blade profile is good. It's slicey and thin. It's a budget knife, so not too much can be said about the steel: 14C28N is a very solid budget steel. No complaints there. Overall the finish feels like it could easily be a non-budget knife for someone with minimalist tastes if they gave it a premium blade steel. I don't really do bottles, so I'm not sure if I'll ever use the bottlecap opener. But hey, you never know. I don't mind it aesthetically though some might.The button lock is a pleasant surprise. It works very well. It feels better with time. I'm not sure if that's because it needs to break in a little bit, or if after a couple weeks of use I've gotten used to the amount of force it likes to open. The first few days it felt like it could stick a little bit every once in a while, but like I said, it feels great now. The thumb studs are a little rough on my thumb, but the thumb deployment works great.I'm not sure what I'd add: most of the features I'd like to see would probably move it out of the budget category. An insert to cover the recess where the clip can be reversed, better steel, and some slight texturing, and you'd probably have a $130 midrange knife.
