These spectacles appear to be very much better designed and made than the ones typically available for £1 or £2, and if they last only five times as long they will prove better value for money. They look quite well, and the five pack came in several different colour frames. A word of caution - I thought I had ordered strength +2, But possibly due to my mistake I received strength +1.5. However when I compared them with a couple of much cheaper plastic lensed strength +2, I found the new eyecedar ones to have similar magnification, and the glass lenses to be much clearer. I just suggest checking the necessary strength with a more expensive pair, and then not ordering any stronger than you actually need.

A few weeks later and still on my first pair. I usually buy foster & grant "cheap" reading glasses from sainsburies but never again. These are excellent, amazing value and I got a free tinted version thrown in as well as a couple of cleaning cloths. I usually fall asleep wearing glasses and they get broke but these have survived that.Shame on you F&G. These are a tenth of your price and twice as good!

Hard to fault these reading glasses at this price. Purchased a pack of 5 which arrived in good time as expected. Was a little sceptical but I have to say I am very pleased with this purchase. I purchased an emergency pair from local pound shop but found that they became distorted when viewing through the side of the glasses OK for an emergency paid for the price but not good enough for everyday use! These are great tried every pair on and no distortion when viewing through the side of these glasses. I also like having a tinted pair for holiday reading.I am currently unable to find any fault with these and despite reading a previous negative review from one buyer, as they did not come with a case, the description states screw driver and cleaning cloth and nothing about a case, which is exactly what I got.If you are looking at this item and reading this review, my advice is go for it you will not be disappointed!

...so two down, three to go. Both broke in exactly the same spot, side-arm (or whatever you call that) snapped next to the hinge. So it looks like that thin piece of metal is a weak spot. I don't want to be buying 5 more every 10 months. Will look elsewhere.Also, I can confirm another flaw which was mentioned few times by other reviewers. The strength of the lenses is not 'strong' enough. I ordered exactly the same strength as on my prescription, but these glasses aren't as strong as my prescription glasses.The only positive thing is the price, hence two stars instead of 1. At 4 quid a piece, when they break, it isn't as tragic as breaking your expensive ones from high street.

I have a big head. I mean I actually have a large skull (as well as an ego to match) regular hats don't fit this big ol' bonce. These glasses fit perfect right out from the box with no adjustment needed.The reviews weren't terrible for these so I thought "Why not?". I go through glasses like mad so 5 pairs for the price of one, even if they only last 6 months means I still get amazing value for money. I know we generally get what we pay for, so I'm not expecting a lifetime of service but for 5 pairs, I'd expect to not need to buy any more for another year as I work my way through these 4 pairs plus the sunglasses, unless I need stronger lenses. I'm giving each pair of specs a minimum 3 month life expectancy from my fairly heavy duty use.1.5 magnification so I can read at less than arms length and the included sunglasses option is a godsend while being forced to move my PC outside to the garden when it's sunny. Crystal clear lenses, no damage to the box during transit and delivered next day via Prime.The glasses feel well made. Metal frame leading to metal arms and sprung hinges. All feels solid, nothing loose and they sit really well, only sliding down the bridge of my nose when it gets really warm so far. The included cleaning cloth isn't too bad either.I'll update this review in a month or two once I've given them a really good work out but so far so good and so far highly recommended.

My prescription is exactly +2.00 so these seemed like a great deal, and they aren't bad. After wearing for a few hours, I got used to them and forgot I was wearing them. The nose pieces are very comfortable and have not left a red mark on my nose like many spectacles do (and I like spectacles close to my face, not on the end of my nose), so this is a major plus.The only two concerns I have are lenses sometimes feel loose, and the plastic part that goes over the ear is not soft plastic but more a cheap-feeling, rubber-like material with a chemical smell. It's not a major concern and I would recommend the product, for the price, but be cautious about this if you have sensitive ears.

It's a shame you can't mix and match the glasses, I would have preferred a mix of plain, computer, and sun glasses. But you either have to pick the 5 pairs with a sunglass in or a pair shielding for computer /phone screens.Besides that they seem good quality. Many at this price point are plastic but these are metal and have sprung hinges which is good. Lenses are plastic though are reassuringly tough and feel more like glass. They look quite modern and come in silver, black and brown metallic frames.Probably wront last me years but that's why I ordered these as no glasses last me long. But very happy with these. Also I've noticed that these lenses seem a lot clearer than some glasses I've tried.
