Compact, sleek and easy to use.
The media could not be loaded. I love cooking and love heavily spiced food. I would use the pestle and mortar to ‘grind’ my spices. Until when I have been diagnosed with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, my hands lose the ability to grip and no more pounding the pestle like before. So after a short search on Amazon, I found this grinder. It arrived in no time. First impression, it’s small and compact, sleek and stylish looking. Its 200 watt motor with stainless steel blades is very powerful to cut and grind any spices, nuts or beans in just seconds. I have used it to grind all sorts of spices, from star anise to cinnamon sticks with just a light touch on the lid. I love that the lid has a safety lock system, which simply means that the blades won’t spin unless the lid is properly secured.I noticed that some other people commented that some grinders would produce some burning smell when used for some time. So far, I haven’t smell anything burnt coming from this grinder except for the beautiful fresh aroma of the roasted spice.I have made a short video to show how very simple it is to use this grinder. You can see that I just lightly touch (not even pushing) the lid and it just starts grinding.Nonetheless, it would be more convenient if it comes with a detachable grinding bowl. For now, I don’t have any problem cleaning it. I just have to make sure to let the roasted spices cool down before I started grinding them. To clean the bowl, I would use the brush (provided) and wipe lightly with damp kitchen roll. So not really a problem there.I have not used it to grind coffee as we enjoy tea more in this house. This is indeed a great product. It feels robust and well made. Does the job very well. Highly recommended.

Poor design no good for a moka pot grind
I bought this for grinding coffee beans for use in a moka pot so I have not tried it on spices. The design is poor as ground coffee gets into the lid when grinding and trying to get a fine grind for a moka pot is very tedious to the point of not being worth the effort. As the blades spin the rough grid accumulates out of reach of the blades, which then just spin without touching the grind. This then means taking the lid off, brushing down the grind onto the blades and starting again. Within a couple of seconds the still rough grind is out of reach of the blades.I did try pulsing the grind, but as soon as it get to a certain grain size it becomes massed out of reach of the blades. To be fair the grind would be fine for filter or French Press method.Edit: after further use I found I can get an adequate grind with 45 seconds of grinding, I have therefore increased the star rating. It is not brilliant but it is not bad either, just a bit messy.

COFFEE/SPICE GRINDER
This product works exactly as expected. There have been no problems with it at all. Delivery was as expected. The only problem I have with ANY coffee/spice grinder is that they are difficult to clean. All of them are difficult to clean - this one is no exception. I use mine as a spice grinder so I clean it more often than if I were grinding coffee beans - when you would probably use the same flavours over and over again.

Robust, reliable little grinder. Grind coffee beans in your vehicle.
I've been using this for over a year. It is excellent and still as new. I travel about camping and I use this for grinding my coffee beans, flax seeds, occasionally nuts. I have a tiny 8nverternof 400w that I can plug into my cigarette lighter, with keeping the engine on I can use.this 200w device and.not drain vehicle battery. (Although I do have a larger inverter in back of vehicle for large items). Point is you dont to out n about in a campervan to enjoy some real, freshly ground coffee. Item is solid sturdy plastic with metal bales that have not rusted yet. Would recommend.

So far, so good.
Only about ten bags ground so far. I bought this model for it's larger motor, which is often the best 'blind' choice. Had no issues with seizures or slow grinds. One potentially serious issue I had was caused by ground coffee residue making the on/off lid mechanism redundant; the machine just fired up with no lid on(eek!), so keep the unit clean with the brush to avoid that.So yes, would recommend and I'll amend this review should the thing fail me.

Great, well-made coffee grinder
Great coffee grinder, especially for the price. Very pleased with it. Feels very solid and well-made, which I was surprised about.Only thing that may be problem is that it is a single unit so the bowl can’t be washed out. Personally I only use it for coffee so I just brush it with the included brush after use.Since it is a blade grinder (as all grinders of this price seem to be), rather than a burr grinder, it doesn’t always grind the beans uniformly when grinding more coarsely. However, this is a problem with all blade grinders and grinding in short bursts rather than continuously seems to fix this.

an excellent tablet crusher 5*****
I purchased this as a Tablet Crusher, the one we had was a manual type and my Wife was getting sore hands every time she had to use it (4 times a day for 16 tablets) , i opted for this as it had good power on paper, and said it did beans (coffee), so i thought why not give it a go, and i am glad i did, so is my wife, all it takes is a 1 second blast from this and there is nothing left of the tablets but a fine dust that is easy to mix into my drink, so if you want to try a good tablet crusher without the hand sores then i highly recommend this.
