It will work, but it's a bit short for standard hemos.

I actually had the first aid kit (Original) that this pouch houses. Completed my H harness set. Glad I found this obscure and unusual piece.

overall a nice pouch. waterproof and roomy, you can fit two 12oz coke cans in it if you wanted to.real us army issue. i got mine from HMI surplus, fast shipping came in almost brand new shape with two alice clips.you can use it for its purpose, as a first aid kit on your pistol belt or for any other small gear purpose. would be pretty hand if your in the woods with other people. (for some reason when people gather, they get hurt LOL). any way i give this piece of kit a 5 star rating.

I ordered this pouch from HMI Surplus to go with my ALICE gear for my hunting/camping/bugout setup. Great pouch for packing a box of shotgun shells, or stuffing a couple of cans of soda in. It is a good size to have a variety of uses. Be aware when ordering that there is about a inch gap at the top on each side with the flap closed. I didn't notice this at first so it does limit some of the use of the pouch, but it is still a winner in my book.

I use a enhanced LBV and this is a good fit on the pistol belt. Snaps are easy to open and close. I was expecting a bit thicker nylon material however this will serve it's purpose well. Speed clips appear to be mil-spec quality.Only 4 stars due to thin material.

Great little bag for day hikes and small items. I fit a compass, fire starter, small emergency flashlight, and emergency blanket inside with room to space. Could even fit a small knife inside. Well taken care of with no rips or wear showing. A good price for this item with many years of service left.
